அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபின் குமாரர் தங்கள் சகோதரியாகிய தீனாளைச் சீகேம் என்பவன் தீட்டுப்படுத்தினபடியால், அவனுக்கும் அவன் தகப்பனாகிய ஏமோருக்கும் வஞ்சகமான மறுமொழியாக:

And the sons בְנֵֽי bēn bane

Shechem שְׁכֶ֨ם šekem sheh-HEM
וְאֶת ʾēt ate
and Hamor חֲמ֥וֹר ḥămôr huh-MORE
his father אָבִ֛יו ʾāb av
deceitfully, בְּמִרְמָ֖ה mirmâ meer-MA
and said, וַיְדַבֵּ֑רוּ dābar da-VAHR
because אֲשֶׁ֣ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
he had defiled טִמֵּ֔א ṭāmēʾ ta-MAY
אֵ֖ת ʾēt ate
Dinah דִּינָ֥ה dînâ dee-NA
their sister: אֲחֹתָֽם׃ ʾāḥôt ah-HOTE
