என் ஓய்வுநாட்களை ஆசரித்து, எனக்கு இஷ்டமானவைகைளைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு உடன்படிக்கையைப் பறறிக்கொள்ளுகிற அண்ணகர்களைக் குறித்துக் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்:

என் ஓய்வு நாட்களை அனுசரித்து, எனக்கு இஷ்டமானவைகளைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, என் உடன்படிக்கையைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளுகிற அண்ணகர்களைக் குறித்துக் கர்த்தர் சொல்கிறது என்னவென்றால்:

அலிகள் இவ்வாறு சொல்லமாட்டார்கள். ஏனென்றால், கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறார், “ஓய்வு நாளில் அலிகளில் சிலர், என் உடன்படிக்கைகளுக்கு அடிபணிகிறார்கள். அவர்கள் நான் விரும்புகின்றவற்றைச் செய்வதற்குத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் உண்மையில் என் உடன்படிக்கைகளைப் பின்பற்றுகிறார்கள். எனவே, நான் ஆலயத்தில் ஒரு ஞாபகக் கல்லை அவர்களுக்காக வைப்பேன். அவர்களின் பெயர் என் நகரத்தில் நினைவுகூரப்படும். ஆம், நான் அந்த அலிகளுக்கு மகன்கள் மகள்கள் ஆகியோரைவிடச் சிறந்ததான சிலவற்றைக் கொடுப்பேன். நித்தியமான ஒரு பெயரை நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன். அவர்கள் எனது ஜனங்களிடமிருந்து வெட்டப்படமாட்டார்கள்.”

saith אָמַ֣ר ʾāmar ah-MAHR

unto the eunuchs לַסָּֽרִיסִים֙ sārîs sa-REES
that אֲשֶׁ֤ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
keep יִשְׁמְרוּ֙ šāmar sha-MAHR
אֶת ʾēt ate
my sabbaths, שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֔י šabbāt sha-BAHT
and choose וּבָֽחֲר֖וּ bāḥar ba-HAHR
