1 கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், வானம் எனக்குச் சிங்காசனம், பூமி எனக்குப் பாதபடி; நீங்கள் எனக்குக் கட்டும் ஆலயம் எப்படிப்பட்டது? நான் தங்கியிருக்கும் ஸ்தலம் எப்படிப்பட்டது? Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

2 என்னுடைய கரம் இவைகளையெல்லாம் சிருஷ்டித்ததினால் இவைகளெல்லாம் உண்டாயின என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; ஆனாலும் சிறுமைப்பட்டு ஆவியில் நொறுங்குண்டு என் வசனத்துக்கு நடுங்குகிறவனையே நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பேன். For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

3 மாட்டை வெட்டுகிறவன் மனுஷனைக் கொல்லுகிறவனாகவும், ஆட்டைப் பலியிடுகிறவன் நாயைக் கழுத்தறுக்கிறவனாகவும், காணிக்கையைப் படைக்கிறவன் பன்றி இரத்தத்தைப் படைக்கிறவனாகவும், தூபங்காட்டுகிறவன் விக்கிரகத்தை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறவனாகவும் இருக்கிறான். இவர்கள் தங்கள் வழிகளையே தெரிந்துகொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; இவர்களுடைய ஆத்துமா தங்கள் அருவருப்புகளின்மேல் விருப்பமாயிருக்கிறது. He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

7 பிரசவவேதனைப்படுமுன் பெற்றாள், கர்ப்பவேதனை வருமுன் ஆண்பிள்ளையைப் பெற்றாள். Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

8 இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைக் கேள்விப்பட்டது யார்? இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைக் கண்டது யார்? ஒரு தேசத்துக்கு ஒரேநாளில் பிள்ளைப்பேறு வருமோ? ஒரு ஜாதி ஒருமிக்கப் பிறக்குமோ? சீயோனோவெனில், ஒருமிக்க வேதனைப்படும் தன் குமாரரைப் பெற்றும் இருக்கிறது. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

9 பெறப்பண்ணுகிறவராகிய நான் பெறச்செய்யாமல் இருப்பேனோ என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; பிரசவிக்கப்பண்ணுகிறவராகிய நான் பிரசவத்தைத் தடுப்பேனோ என்று உன் தேவன் சொல்லுகிறார். Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.

10 எருசலேமை நேசிக்கிற நீங்களெல்லாரும் அவளோடேகூடச் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, அவளைக்குறித்துக் களிகூருங்கள்; அவள் நிமித்தம் துக்கித்திருந்த நீங்களெல்லாரும் அவளோடேகூட மிகவும் மகிழுங்கள். Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:

11 நீங்கள் அவளுடைய ஆறுதல்களின் முலைப்பாலை உண்டு திருப்தியாகி, நீங்கள் சூப்பிக்குடித்து, அவளுடைய மகிமையின் பிரயாசத்தினால் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாகுங்கள்; That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

12 கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால் இதோ, நான் சமாதானத்தை ஒரு நதியைப்போலவும், ஜாதிகளின் மகிமையைப் புரண்டு ஓடுகிற ஆற்றைப்போலவும் அவளிடமாகப் பாயும்படி செய்கிறேன், அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் முலைப்பால் குடிப்பீர்கள்; இடுப்பில் வைத்துச் சுமக்கப்படுவீர்கள்; முழங்காலில் வைத்துத் தாலாட்டப்படுவீர்கள். For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.

13 ஒருவனை அவன் தாய் தேற்றுவதுபோல் நான் உங்களைத் தேற்றுவேன்; நீங்கள் எருசலேமிலே தேற்றப்படுவீர்கள். As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

14 நீங்கள் அதைக் காணும்போது உங்கள் இருதயம் மகிழ்ந்து, உங்கள் எலும்புகள் பசும்புல்லைப் போலச்செழிக்கும் அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய ஊழியக்காரரிடத்தில் அவருடைய கரமும், அவருடைய சத்துருக்களிடத்தில் அவருடைய சினமும் அறியப்படும். And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

15 இதோ, தம்முடைய கோபத்தை உக்கிரமாகவும், தம்முடைய கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலை அக்கினிஜுவாலையாகவும் செலுத்தக் கர்த்தர் அக்கினியோடும் வருவார், பெருங்காற்றைப்போன்ற தம்முடைய இரதங்களோடும் வருவார். For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

16 கர்த்தர் அக்கினியாலும், தமது பட்டயத்தாலும், மாம்சமான எல்லாரோடும் வழக்காடுவார்; கர்த்தரால் கொலையுண்டவர்கள் அநேகராயிருப்பார்கள். For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

17 தங்களைத் தாங்களே பரிசுத்தப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களும், தோப்புகளின் நடுவிலே தங்களைத் தாங்களே ஒருவர் பின் ஒருவராய்ச் சுத்திகரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களும், பன்றியிறைச்சியையும், அருவருப்பானதையும், எலியையும் சாப்பிடுகிறவர்களும் ஏகமாய்ச் சங்கரிக்கப்படுவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

18 நான் அவர்கள் கிரியைகளையும், அவர்கள் நினைவுகளையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; நான் சகல ஜாதியாரையும் பாஷைக்காரரையுங் கூட்டிச்சேர்க்குங்காலம் வரும்; அவர்கள் வந்து என் மகிமையைக் காண்பார்கள். For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

19 நான் அவர்களில் ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் கட்டளையிடுவேன்; அவர்களில் தப்பினவர்களை, என் கீர்த்தியைக் கேளாமலும், என் மகிமையைக்காணாமலுமிருக்கிற ஜாதிகளின் தேசங்களாகிய தர்ஷீசுக்கும் வில்வீரர் இருக்கிற பூலுக்கும், லூதுக்கும், தூபாலுக்கும், யாவானுக்கும், தூரத்திலுள்ள தீவுகளுக்கும் அனுப்புவேன்; அவர்கள் என் மகிமையை ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே அறிவிப்பார்கள். And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

21 அவர்களிலும் சிலரை ஆசாரியராகவும் லேவியராகவும் தெரிந்துகொள்வேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.

22 நான் படைக்கப்போகிற புதியவானமும் புதிய பூமியும் எனக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பதுபோல, உங்கள் சந்ததியும் உங்கள் நாமமும் நிற்குமென்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23 அப்பொழுது மாதந்தோறும், ஓய்வுநாள்தோறும், மாம்சமான யாவரும் எனக்கு முன்பாகத் தொழுதுகொள்வார்களென்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

24 அவர்கள் வெளியே போய் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாதகஞ்செய்த மனுஷருடைய பிரேதங்களைப் பார்ப்பார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய பூச்சி சாகாமலும், அவர்களுடைய அக்கினி அவியாமலும் இருக்கும்; அவர்கள் மாம்சமான யாவருக்கும் அரோசிகமாயிருப்பார்கள். And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

1 Karththar sollukirathu ennavental, vaanam enakkuch singaasanam, poomi enakkup paathapati; neengal enakkuk kattum aalayam eppatippattathu? Naan thangiyirukkum sthalam eppatippattathu? Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

2 Ennutaiya karam ivaikalaiyellaam sirushtiththathinaal ivaikalellaam unndaayina entu Karththar sollukiraar; aanaalum siraுmaippattu aaviyil noraுngunndu en vasanaththukku nadungukiravanaiyae Nnokkippaarppaen. For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

3 Maattaை vettukiravan manushanaik kollukiravanaakavum, aattaைp paliyidukiravan naayaik kaluththaraுkkiravanaakavum, kaannikkaiyaip pataikkiravan panti iraththaththaip pataikkiravanaakavum, thoopangaattukiravan vikkirakaththai sthoththirikkiravanaakavum irukkiraan. Ivarkal thangal valikalaiyae therinthukollukiraarkal; ivarkalutaiya aaththumaa thangal aruvaruppukalinmael viruppamaayirukkirathu. 4 Naan kooppittum maraுuththaravukodukkiravanillaamalum, naan paesiyum avarkal kaelaamalum, avarkal en paarvaikkup pollaappaanathaich seythu, naan virumpaathathaith therinthukonndathinimiththam, naanum avarkalutaiya aapaththaith therinthukonndu, avarkalutaiya thikilkalai avarkalmael varappannnuvaen. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

5 Karththarutaiya vasanaththukku nadungukiravarkalae, avarutaiya vaarththaiyaik kaelungal; en naamaththinimiththam ungalaip pakaiththu, ungalai appurappaduththukira ungal sakotharar, Karththar makimaippaduvaaraaka enkiraarkalae. Avar ungalukkuch santhosham unndaakumpati kaanappaduvaar; avarkalo vetkappaduvaarkal. Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

6 Nakaraththilirunthu amaliyin iraichchalum thaevaalayaththilirunthu saththamum kaetkappadum; athu thamathu saththurukkalukkuch sarikkuch sarikkattapdukira karththarutaiya saththanthaanae. A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.

7 Pirasavavaethanaippadumun pettaாl, karppavaethanai varumun aannpillaiyaip pettaாl. Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

8 Ippatippattavaikalaik kaelvippattathu yaar? Ippatippattavaikalaik kanndathu yaar? Oru thaesaththukku oraenaalil pillaippaeraு varumo? Oru jaathi orumikkap pirakkumo? Seeyonovenil, orumikka vaethanaippadum than kumaararaip pettaுm irukkirathu. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

9 Perappannnukiravaraakiya naan perachcheyyaamal iruppaeno entu Karththar sollukiraar; pirasavikkappannnukiravaraakiya naan pirasavaththaith thaduppaeno entu un Dhevan sollukiraar. Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.

10 Erusalaemai naesikkira neengalellaarum avalotaekoodach santhoshappattu, avalaikkuriththuk kalikoorungal; aval nimiththam thukkiththiruntha neengalellaarum avalotaekooda mikavum makilungal. Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:

11 Neengal avalutaiya aaraுthalkalin mulaippaalai unndu thirupthiyaaki, neengal sooppikkutiththu, avalutaiya makimaiyin pirayaasaththinaal manamakilchchiyaakungal; That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

12 Karththar sollukirathu ennavental itho, naan samaathaanaththai oru nathiyaippolavum, jaathikalin makimaiyaip puranndu odukira aattaைppolavum avalidamaakap paayumpati seykiraேn, appoluthu neengal mulaippaal kutippeerkal; iduppil vaiththuch sumakkappaduveerkal; mulangaalil vaiththuth thaalaattappaduveerkal. For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.

13 Oruvanai avan thaay thaettaுvathupol naan ungalaith thaettaுvaen; neengal erusalaemilae thaettappaduveerkal. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

14 Neengal athaik kaanumpothu ungal iruthayam makilnthu, ungal elumpukal pasumpullaip polachchelikkum appoluthu karththarutaiya ooliyakkaararidaththil avarutaiya karamum, avarutaiya saththurukkalidaththil avarutaiya sinamum ariyappadum. And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

15 Itho, thammutaiya kopaththai ukkiramaakavum, thammutaiya katinthukolluthalai akkinijuvaalaiyaakavum seluththak Karththar akkiniyodum varuvaar, perungaattaைpponta thammutaiya irathangalodum varuvaar. For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

16 Karththar akkiniyaalum, thamathu pattayaththaalum, maamsamaana ellaarodum valakkaaduvaar; karththaraal kolaiyunndavarkal anaekaraayiruppaarkal. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

17 Thangalaith thaangalae Parisuththappaduththikkollukiravarkalum, thoppukalin naduvilae thangalaith thaangalae oruvar pin oruvaraaych suththikariththukkollukiravarkalum, pantiyiraichchiyaiyum, aruvaruppaanathaiyum, eliyaiyum saappidukiravarkalum aekamaaych sangarikkappaduvaarkal entu Karththar sollukiraar. 18 Naan avarkal kiriyaikalaiyum, avarkal ninaivukalaiyum arinthirukkiraேn; naan sakala jaathiyaaraiyum paashaikkaararaiyung koottichchaேrkkungaalam varum; avarkal vanthu en makimaiyaik kaannpaarkal. For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

19 Naan avarkalil oru ataiyaalaththaik kattalaiyiduvaen; avarkalil thappinavarkalai, en geerththiyaik kaelaamalum, en makimaiyaikkaannaamalumirukkira jaathikalin thaesangalaakiya tharsheesukkum vilveerar irukkira poolukkum, loothukkum, thoopaalukkum, yaavaanukkum, thooraththilulla theevukalukkum anuppuvaen; avarkal en makimaiyai jaathikalukkullae arivippaarkal. 20 Israel puththirar suththamaana paaththiraththil kaannikkaiyaik karththarutaiya aalayaththukkuk konnduvarukirathupola, ungal sakothararellaaraiyum avarkal kuthiraikalinmaelum, irathangalinmaelum, kulaarivanntilkalinmaelum, kovaeraுkaluthaikalinmaelum, vaekamaana ottakangalinmaelum, sakala jaathikalidaththilumirunthu erusalaemilulla karththarukkuk kaannikkaiyaaka en Parisuththa parvathaththukkuk konnduvaruvaarkalentu Karththar sollukiraar. 24 Avarkal veliyae poy enakku virothamaayp paathakanjaெytha manusharutaiya piraethangalaip paarppaarkal; avarkalutaiya poochchi saakaamalum, avarkalutaiya akkini aviyaamalum irukkum; avarkal maamsamaana yaavarukkum arosikamaayiruppaarkal.
