Jeremiah 42 in Tamil

1 அப்பொழுது எல்லா இராணுவச் சேர்வைக்காரரும், கரேயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோகனானும், ஓசாயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யெசனியாவும், சிறியோர் முதல் பெரியோர்மட்டும்மான சகலஜனங்களும் சேர்ந்துவந்து. Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,

2 தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய எரேமியாவை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நாங்கள் நடக்கவேண்டிய வழியையும் செய்யவேண்டிய காரியத்தையும் எங்களுக்குத் தெரியப்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, நீர் எங்கள் விண்ணப்பத்துக்கு இடங்கொடுத்து, மீதியாயிருக்கிற இந்தச் சகல ஜனங்களாகிய எங்களுக்காக உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கி ஜெபம்பண்ணும். And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)

3 உம்முடைய கண்கள் எங்களைக் காண்கிறபடியே திரளான ஜனங்களில் கொஞ்சப்பேரே மீந்திருக்கிறோம் என்றார்கள் That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.

4 அப்பொழுது எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசி அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் சொன்னதைக் கேட்டேன்; இதோ, உங்கள் வார்த்தையின்படியே உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்கு மறு உத்திரவாகச் சொல்லும் எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் நான் உங்களுக்கு ஒன்றையும் மறைக்காமல் அறிவிப்பேன் என்றான். Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.

5 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் எரேமியாவை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உம்மைக்கொண்டு எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பும் எல்லாவார்த்தைகளின்படியும் நாங்கள் செய்யாவிட்டால், கர்த்தர் நமக்கு நடுவே சத்தியமும் உண்மையுமான சாட்சியாயிருக்கக்கடவர். Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.

6 அது நன்மையானாலும் தீமையானாலும் சரி, எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்துக்கு நாங்கள் கீழ்ப்படிவதினால் எங்களுக்கு நன்மையுண்டாகும்படி நாங்கள் உம்மை அனுப்புகிற எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்குக் கீழ்படிந்து நடப்போம் என்றார்கள். Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.

7 பத்துநாள் சென்றபின்பு, கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எரேமியாவுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று. And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.

8 அப்பொழுது அவன், கரேயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோகானானையும், அவனோடிருந்த எல்லா இராணுவச் சேர்வைக்காரரையும், சிறியோர்முதல் பெரியோர்மட்டும் உண்டான சகல ஜனங்களையும் அழைத்து, Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,

9 அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பஞ்செய்யும்படிக்கு நீங்கள் என்னை அனுப்பின இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், And said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him;

10 நீங்கள் இந்த தேசத்திலே தரித்திருந்தால், நான் உங்களைக் கட்டுவேன், உங்களை இடிக்கமாட்டேன்; உங்களை நாட்டுவேன், உங்களைப் பிடுங்கமாட்டேன்; நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்திருக்கிற தீங்குக்கு மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டேன். If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.

11 நீங்கள் பயப்படுகிற பாபிலோன் ராஜாவுக்கு பயப்படவேண்டாம், அவனுக்குப் பயப்படாதிருப்பீர்களாக என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார், உங்களை இரட்சிக்கும்படிக்கும், உங்களை அவன் கைக்குத் தப்புவிக்கும்படிக்கும் நான் உங்களுடனே இருந்து, Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

12 அவன் உங்களுக்கு இரங்குகிறதற்கும், உங்கள் சுயதேசத்துக்கு உங்களைத் திரும்பிவரப்பண்ணுகிறதற்கும் உங்களுக்கு இரக்கஞ்செய்வேன். And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.

13 நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடாமல், நாங்கள் இந்த தேசத்திலே இருக்கிறதில்லையென்றும், But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,

14 நாங்கள் யுத்தத்தைக் காணாததும், எக்காள சத்தத்தைக் கேளாததும், அப்பத்தாழ்ச்சியினால் பட்டினியாய் இராததுமான எகிப்து தேசத்துக்கே போய், அங்கே தரித்திருப்போம் என்றும் சொல்வீர்களேயாகில், Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:

15 யூதாவில் மீந்திருக்கிறவர்களே, அதைக்குறித்து உண்டான கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் எகிப்துக்குப் போக உங்கள் முகங்களைத் திருப்பி, அங்கே தங்கப்போவீர்களானால். And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;

16 நீங்கள் பயப்படுகிற பட்டயம் எகிப்து தேசத்திலே உங்களைப் பிடிக்கும்; நீங்கள் ஐயப்படுகிற பஞ்சம் எகிப்திலே உங்களைத் தொடர்ந்து வரும், அங்கே சாவீர்கள். Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.

17 எகிப்திலே தங்கவேண்டுமென்று அவ்விடத்துக்குத் தங்கள் முகங்களைத் திருப்பின எல்லா மனுஷருக்கும் என்ன சம்பவிக்குமென்றால், பட்டயத்தாலும், பஞ்சத்தாலும், கொள்ளைநோயாலும் சாவார்கள்; நான் அவர்கள்மேல் வரப்பண்ணும் தீங்கினாலே அவர்களில் மீதியாகிறவர்களும் தப்புகிறவர்களுமில்லை என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.

18 என் கோபமும் என் உக்கிரமும் எருசலேமின் குடிகள்மேல் எப்படி மூண்டதோ, அப்படியே என் உக்கிரம் நீங்கள் எகிப்துக்குப் போகும்போது, உங்கள்மேல் மூளும். நீங்கள் சாபமாகவும் பாழாகவும் பழிப்பாகவும் நிந்தையாகவும் இருந்து, இவ்விடத்தை இனிக்காணாதிருப்பீர்கள் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.

19 யூதாவில் மீதியானவர்களே, எகிப்துக்குப் போகாதிருங்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் உங்களைக் குறித்துச் சொன்னாரன்பதை இந்நாளிலே உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக அறிவித்தேன் என்று அறியுங்கள். The LORD hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.

20 உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் உங்களை மோசம்போக்கினீர்கள்; நீ எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: எங்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணி, எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் எங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கவேண்டும்; அதின்படியே செய்வோம் என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லி, என்னை உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்துக்கு அனுப்பினீர்கள். For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.

21 நான் இந்நாளில் அதை உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தேன்; ஆனாலும், உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்துக்கும், அவர் என்னைக்கொண்டு உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பின எந்தக்காரியத்துக்கும் செவிகொடாமற்போனீர்கள். And now I have this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God, nor any thing for the which he hath sent me unto you.

22 இப்போதும் தங்கியிருப்பதற்கு நீங்கள் போக விரும்புகிற ஸ்தலத்தில் தானே பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும், கொள்ளைநோயாலும் சாவீர்களென்று நிச்சயமாய் அறியுங்கள் என்றான். Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn.

1 Appoluthu ellaa iraanuvach servaikkaararum, karaeyaavin kumaaranaakiya yokanaanum, osaayaavin kumaaranaakiya yesaniyaavum, siriyor muthal periyormattummaana sakalajanangalum sernthuvanthu. Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,

2 Theerkkatharisiyaakiya eraemiyaavai Nnokki: ummutaiya thaevanaakiya Karththar naangal nadakkavaenntiya valiyaiyum seyyavaenntiya kaariyaththaiyum engalukkuth theriyappannnumpatikku, neer engal vinnnappaththukku idangaொduththu, meethiyaayirukkira inthach sakala janangalaakiya engalukkaaka ummutaiya thaevanaakiya karththarai Nnokki Jebampannnum. And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)

3 Ummutaiya kannkal engalaik kaannkirapatiyae thiralaana janangalil konjappaerae meenthirukkirom entarkal That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.

4 Appoluthu eraemiyaa theerkkatharisi avarkalai Nnokki: neengal sonnathaik kaettaேn; itho, ungal vaarththaiyinpatiyae ungal thaevanaakiya Karththar ungalukku maraு uththiravaakach sollum ellaa vaarththaikalaiyum naan ungalukku ontaiyum maraikkaamal arivippaen entan. Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.

5 Appoluthu avarkal eraemiyaavai Nnokki: ummutaiya thaevanaakiya Karththar ummaikkonndu engalukkuch solliyanuppum ellaavaarththaikalinpatiyum naangal seyyaavittal, Karththar namakku naduvae saththiyamum unnmaiyumaana saatchiyaayirukkakkadavar. Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.

6 Athu nanmaiyaanaalum theemaiyaanaalum sari, engal thaevanaakiya karththarin saththaththukku naangal geelppativathinaal engalukku nanmaiyunndaakumpati naangal ummai anuppukira engal thaevanaakiya karththarutaiya saththaththukkuk geelpatinthu nadappom entarkal. Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.

7 Paththunaal sentapinpu, karththarutaiya vaarththai eraemiyaavukku unndaayittaு. And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.

8 Appoluthu avan, karaeyaavin kumaaranaakiya yokaanaanaiyum, avanotiruntha ellaa iraanuvach servaikkaararaiyum, siriyormuthal periyormattum unndaana sakala janangalaiyum alaiththu, Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,

9 Avarkalai Nnokki: ungalukkaaka vinnnappanjaெyyumpatikku neengal ennai anuppina isravaelin thaevanaakiya Karththar uraikkirathu ennavental, And said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him;

10 Neengal intha thaesaththilae thariththirunthaal, naan ungalaik kattuvaen, ungalai itikkamaattaேn; ungalai naattuvaen, ungalaip pidungamaattaேn; naan ungalukkuch seythirukkira theengukku manasthaapappattaேn. If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.

11 Neengal payappadukira paapilon raajaavukku payappadavaenndaam, avanukkup payappadaathiruppeerkalaaka entu Karththar sollukiraar, ungalai iratchikkumpatikkum, ungalai avan kaikkuth thappuvikkumpatikkum naan ungaludanae irunthu, Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

12 Avan ungalukku irangukiratharkum, ungal suyathaesaththukku ungalaith thirumpivarappannnukiratharkum ungalukku irakkanjaெyvaen. And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.

13 Neengal ungal thaevanaakiya karththarutaiya saththaththukkuch sevikodaamal, naangal intha thaesaththilae irukkirathillaiyentum, But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,

14 Naangal yuththaththaik kaannaathathum, ekkaala saththaththaik kaelaathathum, appaththaalchchiyinaal pattiniyaay iraathathumaana ekipthu thaesaththukkae poy, angae thariththiruppom entum solveerkalaeyaakil, Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:

15 Yoothaavil meenthirukkiravarkalae, athaikkuriththu unndaana karththarutaiya vaarththaiyaik kaelungal; neengal ekipthukkup poka ungal mukangalaith thiruppi, angae thangappoveerkalaanaal. And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;

16 Neengal payappadukira pattayam ekipthu thaesaththilae ungalaip pitikkum; neengal aiyappadukira panjam ekipthilae ungalaith thodarnthu varum, angae saaveerkal. Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.

17 Ekipthilae thangavaenndumentu avvidaththukkuth thangal mukangalaith thiruppina ellaa manusharukkum enna sampavikkumental, pattayaththaalum, panjaththaalum, kollaiNnoyaalum saavaarkal; naan avarkalmael varappannnum theenginaalae avarkalil meethiyaakiravarkalum thappukiravarkalumillai entu isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar sollukiraar. So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.

18 En kopamum en ukkiramum erusalaemin kutikalmael eppati moonndatho, appatiyae en ukkiram neengal ekipthukkup pokumpothu, ungalmael moolum. Neengal saapamaakavum paalaakavum palippaakavum ninthaiyaakavum irunthu, ivvidaththai inikkaannaathiruppeerkal entu isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar sollukiraar. For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.

19 Yoothaavil meethiyaanavarkalae, ekipthukkup pokaathirungal entu Karththar ungalaik kuriththuch sonnaaranpathai innaalilae ungalukkuch saatchiyaaka ariviththaen entu ariyungal. The LORD hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.

20 Ungal aaththumaakkalukku virothamaay ungalai mosampokkineerkal; nee engal thaevanaakiya karththarai Nnokki: engalukkaaka vinnnappampannnni, engal thaevanaakiya Karththar solvathaiyellaam engalukku arivikkavaenndum; athinpatiyae seyvom entu neengal solli, ennai ungal thaevanaakiya karththaridaththukku anuppineerkal. For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.

21 Naan innaalil athai ungalukku ariviththaen; aanaalum, ungal thaevanaakiya karththarin saththaththukkum, avar ennaikkonndu ungalukkuch solliyanuppina enthakkaariyaththukkum sevikodaamarponeerkal. And now I have this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God, nor any thing for the which he hath sent me unto you.

22 Ippothum thangiyiruppatharku neengal poka virumpukira sthalaththil thaanae pattayaththaalum panjaththaalum, kollaiNnoyaalum saaveerkalentu nichchayamaay ariyungal entan. Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn.
