Nehemiah 5 in Tamil

1 ஜனங்களுக்குள் அநேகரும் அவர்களுடைய ஸ்திரீகளும் யூதராகிய தங்கள் சகோதரர்மேல் முறையிடுகிற பெரிய கூக்குரலுண்டாயிற்று. And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.

2 அதென்னவென்றால், அவர்களில் சிலர் நாங்கள் எங்கள் குமாரரோடும் எங்கள் குமாரத்திகளோடும் அநேகரானபடியினால், சாப்பிட்டுப் பிழைக்கும்படிக்கு நாங்கள் தானியத்தைக் கடனாக வாங்கினோம் என்றார்கள். For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.

3 வேறு சிலர் எங்கள் நிலங்களையும் எங்கள் திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களையும் எங்கள் வீடுகளையும் நாங்கள் அடைமானமாக வைத்து, இந்தப் பஞ்சத்திலே தானியம் வாங்கினோம் என்றார்கள். Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.

4 இன்னும் சிலர் ராஜாவுக்குத் தீர்வைசெலுத்த, நாங்கள் எங்கள் நிலங்கள்மேலும் எங்கள் திராட்சத்தோட்டங்கள்மேலும், பணத்தைக் கடனாக வாங்கினோம் என்றும்; There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards.

5 எங்கள் உடலும் எங்கள் சகோதரர் உடலும் சரி; எங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் சரி; ஆனாலும், இதோ நாங்கள் எங்கள் குமாரரையும் எங்கள் குமாரத்திகளையும் அடிமைத்தனத்திற்கு உட்படுத்தவேண்டியதாயிருக்கிறது; அப்படியே எங்கள் குமாரத்திகளில் சிலர் அடிமைப்பட்டுமிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களை மீட்க எங்களுக்கு நிர்வாகமில்லை; எங்கள் நிலங்களும் எங்கள் திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களும் வேறே மனிதர் கைவசமாயிற்று என்றார்கள். Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.

6 அவர்கள் கூக்குரலையும், இந்தவார்த்தைகளையும் நான் கேட்டபோது, மிகவும் கோபங்கொண்டு, And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.

7 என் மனதிலே ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, பிற்பாடு பிரபுக்களையும் அதிகாரிகளையும் கடிந்துகொண்டு: நீங்கள் அவரவர் தங்கள் சகோதரர்மேல் ஏன் வட்டி சுமத்துகிறீர்கள் என்று சொல்லி, அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக ஒரு பெரிய சபைகூடிவரச்செய்து, Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.

8 அவர்களை நோக்கி: புறஜாதியாருக்கு விற்கப்பட்ட யூதராகிய எங்கள் சகோதரரை நாங்கள் எங்கள் சக்திக்குத்தக்கதாய் மீட்டிருக்கையில், நீங்கள் திரும்ப உங்கள் சகோதரரை விற்கலாமா? இவர்கள் நமக்கு விலைப்பட்டுப்போகலாமா என்றேன்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் மறு உத்தரவு சொல்ல இடமில்லாமல் மவுனமாயிருந்தார்கள். And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.

9 பின்னும் நான் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் செய்கிற காரியம் நல்லதல்ல; நம்முடைய பகைஞராகிய புறஜாதியார் நிந்திக்கிறதினிமித்தம் நீங்கள் நம்முடைய தேவனுக்குப் பயந்து நடக்கவேண்டாமா? Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?

10 நானும் என் சகோதரரும் என் வேலைக்காரரும் இவ்விதமாகவா அவர்களுக்குப் பணமும் தானியமும் கடன்கொடுத்திருக்கிறோம்? இந்த வட்டியை விட்டுவிடுவோமாக. I likewise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this usury.

11 நீங்கள் இன்றைக்கு அவர்கள் நிலங்களையும், அவர்கள் திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களையும், அவர்கள் ஒலிவத்தோப்புகளையும், அவர்கள் வீடுகளையும், நீங்கள் பணத்திலும் தானியத்திலும் திராட்சரசத்திலும் எண்ணெயிலும் நூற்றுக்கொன்று வீதமாக அவர்களிடத்தில் தண்டிவருகிற வட்டியையும், அவர்களுக்குத் திரும்பக்கொடுத்துவிடுங்கள் என்றேன். Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them.

12 அதற்கு அவர்கள் நாங்கள் அதைத் திரும்பக் கொடுத்துவிட்டு, இனி அப்படி அவர்களிடத்தில் கேட்கமாட்டோம்; நீர் சொல்லுகிறபடியே செய்வோம் என்றார்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் ஆசாரியர்களை அழைத்து, அவர்கள் இந்த வார்த்தையின்படி செய்ய அவர்களை ஆணையிடுவித்துக்கொண்டேன். Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise.

13 நான் என் வஸ்திரத்தை உதறிப்போட்டு, இப்படி இந்த வார்த்தையை நிறைவேற்றாத எந்த மனிதனையும் அவன் வீட்டிலும் அவன் சம்பாத்தியத்திலும் இருந்து தேவன் உதறிப்போடக்கடவர்; இந்தப்பிரகாரமாக அவன் உதறிப்போடப்பட்டு, வெறுமையாய்ப் போவானாக என்றேன்; அதற்குச் சபையார் எல்லாரும் ஆமென் என்று சொல்லி கர்த்தரைத் துதித்தார்கள்; பின்பு ஜனங்கள் இந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே செய்தார்கள். Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.

14 நான் யூதாதேசத்திலே அதிபதியாயிருக்கும்படி ராஜாவாகிய அர்தசஷ்டா எனக்குக் கற்பித்த நாளாகிய அவருடைய இருபதாம் வருஷம் தொடங்கி, அவருடைய முப்பத்திரண்டாம் வருஷம் வரைக்கும் இருந்த பன்னிரண்டு வருஷகாலமாய், நானும் என் சகோதரரும் அதிபதிகள் வாங்குகிற படியை வாங்கிச் சாப்பிடவில்லை. Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even unto the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that is, twelve years, I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor.

15 எனக்கு முன்னிருந்த அதிபதிகள் ஜனங்களுக்குப் பாரமாயிருந்து, அவர்கள் கையிலே அப்பமும் திராட்சரசமும் வாங்கினதும் அல்லாமல், நாற்பதுசேக்கல் வெள்ளியும் வாங்கிவந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் வேலைக்காரர் முதலாய் ஜனங்கள்மேல் அதிகாரம் செலுத்தினார்கள்; நானோ தேவனுக்குப் பயந்ததினால் இப்படிச் செய்யவில்லை. But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.

16 ஒரு வயலையாவது நாங்கள் கொள்ளவில்லை; அந்த அலங்கத்தின் வேலையிலே முயன்று நின்றேன்; என் வேலைக்காரரனைவரும் கூட்டமாய் அந்த வேலைக்குக் கூடிவந்தார்கள். Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants were gathered thither unto the work.

17 யூதரும் மூப்பருமான நூற்றைம்பதுபேரும், எங்களைச் சுற்றிலுமிருக்கிற புறஜாதிகளிடத்திலிருந்து எங்களிடத்திற்கு வந்தவர்களும் என் பந்தியில் சாப்பிட்டார்கள். Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us.

18 நாளொன்றுக்கு ஒரு காளையும், முதல் தரமான ஆறு ஆடும் சமைக்கப்பட்டது; பட்சிகளும் சமைக்கப்பட்டது; பத்துநாளைக்கு ஒருதரம் நானாவிதத் திராட்சரசமும் செலவழிந்தது. இப்படியெல்லாம் இருந்தபோதும், இந்த ஜனங்கள் பட்டபாடு கடினமாயிருந்தபடியால், அதிபதிகள் வாங்குகிற படியை நான் வாங்கவில்லை. Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.

19 என் தேவனே, நான் இந்த ஜனத்துக்காகச் செய்த எல்லாவற்றின்படியும் எனக்கு நன்மையுண்டாக என்னை நினைத்தருளும். Think upon me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people.

1 Janangalukkul anaekarum avarkalutaiya sthireekalum yootharaakiya thangal sakothararmael muraiyidukira periya kookkuralunndaayittaு. And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.

2 Athennavental, avarkalil silar naangal engal kumaararodum engal kumaaraththikalodum anaekaraanapatiyinaal, saappittup pilaikkumpatikku naangal thaaniyaththaik kadanaaka vaanginom entarkal. For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.

3 Vaeraு silar engal nilangalaiyum engal thiraatchaththottangalaiyum engal veedukalaiyum naangal ataimaanamaaka vaiththu, inthap panjaththilae thaaniyam vaanginom entarkal. Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.

4 Innum silar raajaavukkuth theervaiseluththa, naangal engal nilangalmaelum engal thiraatchaththottangalmaelum, panaththaik kadanaaka vaanginom entum; There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards.

5 Engal udalum engal sakotharar udalum sari; engal pillaikalum avarkal pillaikalum sari; aanaalum, itho naangal engal kumaararaiyum engal kumaaraththikalaiyum atimaiththanaththirku utpaduththavaenntiyathaayirukkirathu; appatiyae engal kumaaraththikalil silar atimaippattumirukkiraarkal; avarkalai meetka engalukku nirvaakamillai; engal nilangalum engal thiraatchaththottangalum vaeraே manithar kaivasamaayittaு entarkal. Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.

6 Avarkal kookkuralaiyum, inthavaarththaikalaiyum naan kaettapothu, mikavum kopangaொnndu, And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.

7 En manathilae aalosanaipannnni, pirpaadu pirapukkalaiyum athikaarikalaiyum katinthukonndu: neengal avaravar thangal sakothararmael aen vatti sumaththukireerkal entu solli, avarkalukku virothamaaka oru periya Sabaikootivarachcheythu, Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.

8 Avarkalai Nnokki: purajaathiyaarukku virkappatta yootharaakiya engal sakothararai naangal engal sakthikkuththakkathaay meettirukkaiyil, neengal thirumpa ungal sakothararai virkalaamaa? Ivarkal namakku vilaippattuppokalaamaa enten; appoluthu avarkal maraு uththaravu solla idamillaamal mavunamaayirunthaarkal. And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.

9 Pinnum naan avarkalai Nnokki: neengal seykira kaariyam nallathalla; nammutaiya pakainjaraakiya purajaathiyaar ninthikkirathinimiththam neengal nammutaiya thaevanukkup payanthu nadakkavaenndaamaa? Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?

10 Naanum en sakothararum en vaelaikkaararum ivvithamaakavaa avarkalukkup panamum thaaniyamum kadankoduththirukkirom? Intha vattiyai vittuviduvomaaka. I likewise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this usury.

11 Neengal intaikku avarkal nilangalaiyum, avarkal thiraatchaththottangalaiyum, avarkal olivaththoppukalaiyum, avarkal veedukalaiyum, neengal panaththilum thaaniyaththilum thiraatcharasaththilum ennnneyilum noottaுkkontu veethamaaka avarkalidaththil thanntivarukira vattiyaiyum, avarkalukkuth thirumpakkoduththuvidungal enten. Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them.

12 Atharku avarkal naangal athaith thirumpak koduththuvittu, ini appati avarkalidaththil kaetkamaattaோm; neer sollukirapatiyae seyvom entarkal; appoluthu naan aasaariyarkalai alaiththu, avarkal intha vaarththaiyinpati seyya avarkalai aannaiyiduviththukkonntaen. Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. 13 Naan en vasthiraththai utharippottu, ippati intha vaarththaiyai niraivaettaாtha entha manithanaiyum avan veettilum avan sampaaththiyaththilum irunthu Dhevan utharippodakkadavar; inthappirakaaramaaka avan utharippodappattu, veraுmaiyaayp povaanaaka enten; atharkuch Sabaiyaar ellaarum Amen entu solli karththaraith thuthiththaarkal; pinpu janangal intha vaarththaiyinpatiyae seythaarkal. Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.

14 Naan yoothaathaesaththilae athipathiyaayirukkumpati raajaavaakiya arthasashdaa enakkuk karpiththa naalaakiya avarutaiya irupathaam varusham thodangi, avarutaiya muppaththiranndaam varusham varaikkum iruntha panniranndu varushakaalamaay, naanum en sakothararum athipathikal vaangukira patiyai vaangich saappidavillai. 15 Enakku munniruntha athipathikal janangalukkup paaramaayirunthu, avarkal kaiyilae appamum thiraatcharasamum vaanginathum allaamal, naarpathusekkal velliyum vaangivanthaarkal; avarkal vaelaikkaarar muthalaay janangalmael athikaaram seluththinaarkal; naano thaevanukkup payanthathinaal ippatich seyyavillai. But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.

16 Oru vayalaiyaavathu naangal kollavillai; antha alangaththin vaelaiyilae muyantu ninten; en vaelaikkaararanaivarum koottamaay antha vaelaikkuk kootivanthaarkal. Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants were gathered thither unto the work.

17 Yootharum moopparumaana noottaைmpathupaerum, engalaich suttilumirukkira purajaathikalidaththilirunthu engalidaththirku vanthavarkalum en panthiyil saappittarkal. Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us.

18 Naalontukku oru kaalaiyum, muthal tharamaana aaraு aadum samaikkappattathu; patchikalum samaikkappattathu; paththunaalaikku orutharam naanaavithath thiraatcharasamum selavalinthathu. Ippatiyellaam irunthapothum, intha janangal pattapaadu katinamaayirunthapatiyaal, athipathikal vaangukira patiyai naan vaangavillai. 19 En thaevanae, naan intha janaththukkaakach seytha ellaavattinpatiyum enakku nanmaiyunndaaka ennai ninaiththarulum. Think upon me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people.
