Psalm 51 in Tamil

1 தேவனே, உமது கிருபையின்படி எனக்கு இரங்கும், உமது மிகுந்த இரக்கங்களின்படி என் மீறுதல்கள் நீங்க என்னைச் சுத்திகரியும். Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2 என் அக்கிரமம் நீங்க என்னை முற்றிலும் கழுவி, என் பாவமற என்னைச் சுத்திகரியும். Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3 என் மீறுதல்களை நான் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; என் பாவம் எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கிறது. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

4 தேவரீர் ஒருவருக்கே விரோதமாக நான் பாவஞ்செய்து, உமது கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் பொல்லாங்கானதை நடப்பித்தேன்; நீர் பேசும்போது உம்முடைய நீதி விளங்கவும், நீர் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும்போது உம்முடைய பரிசுத்தம் விளங்கவும் இதை அறிக்கையிடுகிறேன். Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

5 இதோ, நான் துர்க்குணத்தில் உருவானேன்; என் தாய் என்னைப் பாவத்தில் கர்ப்பந்தரித்தாள். Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

6 இதோ, உள்ளத்தில் உண்மையாயிருக்க விரும்புகிறீர்; அந்தக்கரணத்தில் ஞானத்தை எனக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்துவீர். Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

7 நீர் என்னை ஈசோப்பினால் சுத்திகரியும், அப்பொழுது நான் சுத்தமாவேன்; என்னைக் கழுவியருளும், அப்பொழுது நான் உறைந்த மழையிலும் வெண்மையாவேன். Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 நான் சந்தோஷமும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் கேட்கும்படி செய்யும், அப்பொழுது நீர் நொறுக்கின எலும்புகள் களிகூரும். Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

9 என் பாவங்களைப் பாராதபடிக்கு நீர் உமது முகத்தை மறைத்து, என் அக்கிரமங்களையெல்லாம் நீக்கியருளும். Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 தேவனே, சுத்த இருதயத்தை என்னிலே சிருஷ்டியும், நிலைவரமான ஆவியை என் உள்ளத்திலே புதுப்பியும். Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 உமது சமுகத்தை விட்டு என்னைத் தள்ளாமலும், உமது பரிசுத்த ஆவியை என்னிடத்திலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கொள்ளாமலும் இரும். Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 உமது இரட்சணியத்தின் சந்தோஷத்தைத் திரும்பவும் எனக்குத் தந்து, உற்சாகமான ஆவி என்னைத் தாங்கும்படி செய்யும், Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

13 அப்பொழுது பாதகருக்கு உமது வழிகளை உபதேசிப்பேன்; பாவிகள் உம்மிடத்தில் மனந்திரும்புவார்கள். Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

14 தேவனே, என்னை இரட்சிக்குந் தேவனே, இரத்தப்பழிகளுக்கு என்னை நீங்கலாக்கிவிடும்; அப்பொழுது என் நாவு உம்முடைய நீதியைக் கெம்பீரமாய்ப் பாடும். Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

15 ஆண்டவரே, என் உதடுகளைத் திறந்தருளும்; அப்பொழுது என் வாய் உம்முடைய புகழை அறிவிக்கும். O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

16 பலியை நீர் விரும்புகிறதில்லை, விரும்பினால் செலுத்துவேன்; தகனபலியும் உமக்குப் பிரியமானதல்ல. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

17 தேவனுக்கேற்கும் பலிகள் நொறுங்குண்ட ஆவிதான்; தேவனே, நொறுங்குண்டதும் நருங்குண்டதுமான இருதயத்தை நீர் புறக்கணியீர். The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

18 சீயோனுக்கு உமது பிரியத்தின்படி நன்மைசெய்யும்: எருசலேமின் மதில்களைக் கட்டுவீராக. Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

19 அப்பொழுது தகனபலியும் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியுமாகிய நீதியின்பலிகளில் பிரியப்படுவீர்; அப்பொழுது உமது பீடத்தின்மேல் காளைகளைப் பலியிடுவார்கள். Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

1 Thaevanae, umathu kirupaiyinpati enakku irangum, umathu mikuntha irakkangalinpati en meeraுthalkal neenga ennaich suththikariyum. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2 En akkiramam neenga ennai muttilum kaluvi, en paavamara ennaich suththikariyum. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3 En meeraுthalkalai naan arinthirukkiraேn; en paavam eppoluthum enakku munpaaka nirkirathu. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

4 Thaevareer oruvarukkae virothamaaka naan paavanjaெythu, umathu kannkalukku munpaakap pollaangaanathai nadappiththaen; neer paesumpothu ummutaiya neethi vilangavum, neer niyaayantheerkkumpothu ummutaiya Parisuththam vilangavum ithai arikkaiyidukiraேn. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

5 Itho, naan thurkkunaththil uruvaanaen; en thaay ennaip paavaththil karppanthariththaal. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

6 Itho, ullaththil unnmaiyaayirukka virumpukireer; anthakkaranaththil njaanaththai enakkuth theriyappaduththuveer. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

7 Neer ennai eesoppinaal suththikariyum, appoluthu naan suththamaavaen; ennaik kaluviyarulum, appoluthu naan uraintha malaiyilum vennmaiyaavaen. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Naan santhoshamum makilchchiyum kaetkumpati seyyum, appoluthu neer noraுkkina elumpukal kalikoorum. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

9 En paavangalaip paaraathapatikku neer umathu mukaththai maraiththu, en akkiramangalaiyellaam neekkiyarulum. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Thaevanae, suththa iruthayaththai ennilae sirushtiyum, nilaivaramaana aaviyai en ullaththilae puthuppiyum. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Umathu samukaththai vittu ennaith thallaamalum, umathu Parisuththa aaviyai ennidaththilirunthu eduththukkollaamalum irum. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Umathu iratchanniyaththin santhoshaththaith thirumpavum enakkuth thanthu, ursaakamaana aavi ennaith thaangumpati seyyum, Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

13 Appoluthu paathakarukku umathu valikalai upathaesippaen; paavikal ummidaththil mananthirumpuvaarkal. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

14 Thaevanae, ennai iratchikkun thaevanae, iraththappalikalukku ennai neengalaakkividum; appoluthu en naavu ummutaiya neethiyaik kempeeramaayp paadum. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

15 Aanndavarae, en uthadukalaith thirantharulum; appoluthu en vaay ummutaiya pukalai arivikkum. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

16 Paliyai neer virumpukirathillai, virumpinaal seluththuvaen; thakanapaliyum umakkup piriyamaanathalla. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

17 Thaevanukkaerkum palikal noraுngunnda aavithaan; thaevanae, noraுngunndathum narungunndathumaana iruthayaththai neer purakkanniyeer. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

18 Seeyonukku umathu piriyaththinpati nanmaiseyyum: erusalaemin mathilkalaik kattuveeraaka. Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

19 Appoluthu thakanapaliyum sarvaanga thakanapaliyumaakiya neethiyinpalikalil piriyappaduveer; appoluthu umathu peedaththinmael kaalaikalaip paliyiduvaarkal. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
