அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் என்னிடத்தில் வந்து நமக்காக அந்தத் தேசத்தைச் சோதித்துப்பார்க்கவும், நாம் இன்னவழியாக அதில் சென்று, இன்னபட்டணங்களுக்குப் போகலாம் என்று நமக்கு மறுசெய்தி கொண்டுவரவும், நமக்கு முன்னாக மனிதரை அனுப்புவோம் என்றீர்கள்.

“ஆனால் நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் என்னிடம் வந்து: ‘அந்த நிலத்தைப் பார்க்க முதலில் சிலரை அனுப்புவோம். அவர்கள் அங்குள்ள வலிமையுள்ளதும், வலிமையற்றதுமாகிய இடங்களைப் பார்த்துவர இயலும். பின் அவர்கள் திரும்பி வந்து நாம் எந்த வழியாகச் செல்லவேண்டும் என்பதைத் தெரிவிப்பார்கள். மேலும் நாம் போக வேண்டிய நகரங்களையும் நமக்கு கூறுவார்கள்’ என்று சொன்னீர்கள்.

அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் என்னிடத்தில் வந்து நமக்காக அந்தத் தேசத்தைச் சோதித்துப்பார்க்கவும், நாம் இன்னவழியாக அதில் சென்று, இன்னபட்டணங்களுக்குப் போகலாம் என்று நமக்கு மறுசெய்தி கொண்டுவரவும், நமக்கு முன்னாக மனிதரை அனுப்புவோம் என்றீர்கள்.

unto	אֵלַי֮	ʾēl	ale

We will send	נִשְׁלְחָ֤ה	šālaḥ	sha-LAHK
men	אֲנָשִׁים֙	ʾîš	eesh
before	לְפָנֵ֔ינוּ	pānîm	pa-NEEM
us, and they shall search us out	וְיַחְפְּרוּ	ḥāpar	ha-FAHR
