Daniel 6:16
Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spoke and said unto Daniel, Your God whom you serve continually, he will deliver you.

அப்பொழுது ராஜா கட்டளையிட, அவர்கள் தானியேலைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவனைச் சிங்கங்களின் குகையிலே போட்டார்கள்; ராஜா தானியேலை நோக்கி: நீ இடைவிடாமல் ஆராதிக்கிற உன் தேவன் உன்னைத் தப்புவிப்பார் என்றான்.

எனவே, தரியு அரசன் கட்டளையிட்டான். அவர்கள் தானியேலை அழைத்து வந்து சிங்கங்களின் கூண்டில் போட்டனர். அரசன் தானியேலிடம், “நீ தொழுதுகொள்ளும் தேவன் உன்னைக் காப்பாற்றுவார் என்று நான் நம்புகிறேன்” என்று சொன்னான்.
