நீ அவர் வாக்கை நன்றாய்க் கேட்டு, நான் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் செய்வாயாகில், நான் உன் சத்துருக்களுக்குச் சத்துருவாயும், உன் விரோதிகளுக்கு விரோதியாயும் இருப்பேன்.

அஸ்தோத் ஊர்க்காரர்கள் மறுநாள் காலையில் எழுந்து வந்தபோது, இதோ, தாகோன் கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகத் தரையிலே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்துகிடந்தது; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தாகோனை எடுத்து, அதை அதின் இடத்திலே திரும்பவும் நிறுத்தினார்கள்.

மறுநாள் காலை, அஸ்தோத் ஜனங்கள் எழுந்ததும் தாகோனின் சிலை முகம்குப்புற விழுந்து கிடப்பதைக் கண்டனர். தாகோன் கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டிக்கு முன்னால் விழுந்துகிடந்தது. அஸ்தோத் ஜனங்கள் தாகோனின் சிலையைப் பழைய இடத்தில் வைத்தனர்.
