யாத்திராகமம் 39
2 ஏபோத்தைப் பொன்னினாலும் இளநீலநூலாலும் இரத்தாம்பரநூலாலும் சிவப்பு நூலாலும் திரித்த மெல்லிய பஞ்சுநூலாலும் செய்தான்.
3 அந்தப் பொன்னை, இளநீலநூலோடும் இரத்தாம்பரநூலோடும் சிவப்புநூலோடும் மெல்லிய பஞ்சுநூலோடும் சேர்த்து விசித்திரவேலையாய் நெய்யும்படிக்கு, மெல்லிய தகடுகளாய் அடித்து, அவைகளைச் சரிகைகளாகப் பண்ணினார்கள்.
4 இரண்டு தோள்களின்மேலுள்ள அதின் இரண்டு முனைகளையும் சேர்த்தார்கள்; அது ஒன்றாய் இணைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.
5 அந்த ஏபோத்தின்மேலிருக்கும் விசித்திரமான கச்சை, அந்த வேலைக்கு ஒப்பாகவே பொன்னினாலும் இளநீலநூலாலும் இரத்தாம்பரநூலாலும் சிவப்புநூலாலும், திரித்த மெல்லிய பஞ்சுநூலாலும், கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கற்பித்தபடியே, செய்யப்பட்டது.
6 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் நாமங்களை முத்திரை வெட்டுவேலையாகக் கோமேதகக் கற்களில் வெட்டி, அவைகளைப் பொன் குவளைகளில் பதித்தார்கள்.
7 கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கற்பித்தபடியே, அவைகள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரைக்குறித்து ஞாபகக்குறிக் கற்களாயிருக்கும்படி ஏபோத்துத் தோள்களின்மேல் அவைகளை வைத்தான்.
2 And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
3 And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with cunning work.
4 They made shoulderpieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it coupled together.
5 And the curious girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as the Lord commanded Moses.
6 And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of Israel.
7 And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they should be stones for a memorial to the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.

1 சீனாய் மலையில் கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடே பேசின நாளிலே, ஆரோன் மோசே என்பவர்களுடைய வம்சவரலாறாவது:
These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the Lord spake with Moses in mount Sinai.
2 ஆரோனுடைய குமாரர், முதல் பிறந்தவனாகிய நாதாப், அபியூ, எலெயாசார், இத்தாமார் என்பவர்களே.
And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
3 ஆசாரிய ஊழியம்செய்கிறதற்கு அவனால் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டு அபிஷேகம்பெற்ற ஆசாரியரான ஆரோனுடைய குமாரரின் நாமங்கள் இவைகளே.
These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests which were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest’s office.
4 நாதாபும் அபியூவும் சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்தில் அந்நிய அக்கினியைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவந்தபோது, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் மரித்துப்போனார்கள்; அவர்களுக்குப் பிள்ளைகள் இல்லை; எலெயாசாரும் இத்தாமாருமே தங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ஆரோனுக்கு முன்பாக ஆசாரிய ஊழியம் செய்தார்கள்.
And Nadab and Abihu died before the Lord, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest’s office in the sight of Aaron their father.
