Genesis 21 in Tamil

1 கர்த்தர் தாம் சொல்லியிருந்தபடி சாராள்பேரில் கடாட்சமானார்; கர்த்தர் தாம் உரைத்தபடியே சாராளுக்குச் செய்தருளினார். And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

2 ஆபிரகாம் முதிர்வயதாயிருக்கையில், சாராள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி, தேவன் குறித்திருந்த காலத்திலே அவனுக்கு ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள். For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

3 அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் தனக்குச் சாராள் பெற்ற குமாரனுக்கு ஈசாக்கு என்று பேரிட்டான். And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

4 தன் குமாரனாகிய ஈசாக்கு பிறந்த எட்டாம் நாளிலே, ஆபிரகாம் தனக்குத் தேவன் கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தபடி அவனுக்கு விருத்த சேதனம்பண்ணினான். And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

5 தன் குமாரனாகிய ஈசாக்கு பிறந்தபோது ஆபிரகாம் நூறு வயதாயிருந்தான். And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

6 அப்பொழுது சாராள்: தேவன் என்னை நகைக்கப் பண்ணினார்; இதைக் கேட்கிற யாவரும் என்னோடேகூட நகைப்பார்கள். And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

7 சாராள் பிள்ளைகளுக்குப் பால் கொடுப்பாள் என்று ஆபிரகாமுக்கு எவன் சொல்லுவான்? அவருடைய முதிர்வயதிலே அவருக்கு ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்றேனே என்றாள். And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

8 பிள்ளை வளர்ந்து, பால் மறந்தது; ஈசாக்கு பால் மறந்தநாளிலே ஆபிரகாம் பெரிய விருந்துபண்ணினான். And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

9 பின்பு எகிப்து தேசத்தாளாகிய ஆகார் ஆபிரகாமுக்குப் பெற்ற குமாரன் பரியாசம்பண்ணுகிறதைச் சாராள் கண்டு, And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

10 ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: இந்த அடிமைப் பெண்ணையும் அவள் மகனையும் புறம்பே தள்ளும்; இந்த அடிமைப் பெண்ணின் மகன் என் குமாரனாகிய ஈசாக்கோடே சுதந்தரவாளியாயிருப்பதில்லை என்றான். Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

11 தன் மகனைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லப்பட்ட இந்தக் காரியம் ஆபிரகாமுக்கு மிகவும் துக்கமாயிருந்தது. And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.

12 அப்பொழுது தேவன் ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: அந்தப் பிள்ளையையும், உன் அடிமைப்பெண்ணையும் குறித்துச் சொல்லப்பட்டது உனக்குத் துக்கமாயிருக்க வேண்டாம்; ஈசாக்கினிடத்தில் உன் சந்ததி விளங்கும்; ஆதலால் சாராள் உனக்குச் சொல்வதெல்லாவற்றையும் கேள். And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

13 அடிமைப்பெண்ணின் மகனும் உன் வித்தாயிருக்கிறபடியால், அவனையும் ஒரு ஜாதியாக்குவேன் என்றார். And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

14 ஆபிரகாம் அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து, அப்பத்தையும் ஒரு துருத்தி தண்ணீரையும் எடுத்து, ஆகாருடைய தோளின்மேல் வைத்துப் பிள்ளையையும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, அவளை அனுப்பிவிட்டான்; அவள் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், பெயர்செபாவின் வனாந்தரத்திலே அலைந்து திரிந்தாள். And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

15 துருத்தியிலிருந்த தண்ணீர் செலவழிந்தபின்பு, அவள் பிள்ளையை ஒரு செடியின்கீழே விட்டு, And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

16 பிள்ளை சாகிறதை நான் பார்க்கமாட்டேன் என்று, எதிராக அம்பு பாயும் தூரத்திலே போய் உட்கார்ந்து சத்தமிட்டு அழுதாள். And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

17 தேவன் பிள்ளையின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார்; தேவதூதன் வானத்திலிருந்து ஆகாரைக் கூப்பிட்டு ஆகாரே, உனக்கு என்ன சம்பவித்தது, பயப்படாதே, பிள்ளையிருக்கும் இடத்திலே தேவன் அவன் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார். And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

18 நீ எழுந்து பிள்ளையை எடுத்து அவனை உன் கையினால் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோ, அவனைப் பெரிய ஜாதியாக்குவேன் என்றார். Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

19 தேவன் அவளுடைய கண்களைத் திறந்தார்; அப்பொழுது அவள் ஒரு தண்ணீர்த் துரவைக் கண்டு, போய், துருத்தியிலே தண்ணீர் நிரப்பி, பிள்ளைக்குக் குடிக்கக் கொடுத்தாள். And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

20 தேவன் பிள்ளையுடனே இருந்தார்; அவன் வளர்ந்து வனாந்தரத்திலே குடியிருந்து, வில்வித்தையிலே வல்லவனானான். And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

21 அவன் பாரான் வனாந்தரத்திலே குடியிருக்கையில், அவனுடைய தாய் எகிப்து தேசத்தாளாகிய ஒரு பெண்ணை அவனுக்கு விவாகம்பண்ணுவித்தாள். And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

22 அக்காலத்தில் அபிமெலேக்கும் அவன் சேனாதிபதியாகிய பிகோலும் ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: நீ செய்கிற காரியங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் தேவன் உன்னுடனே இருக்கிறார். And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:

23 ஆகையால், நீ எனக்காவது, என் குமாரனுக்காவது, என் பேரனுக்காவது வஞ்சனை செய்யாமல், நான் உனக்குச் செய்த தயவின்படியே, நீ எனக்கும், நீ தங்கியிருக்கிற இந்தத் தேசத்திற்கும், தயவு செய்வேன் என்று இங்கே தேவன் பேரில் எனக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடு என்றான். Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

24 அதற்கு ஆபிரகாம்: நான் ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுக்கிறேன் என்றான். And Abraham said, I will swear.

25 ஆனாலும், அபிமெலேக்குடைய வேலைக்காரர் கைவசப்படுத்திக்கொண்ட துரவின் நிமித்தம் ஆபிரகாம் அபிமெலேக்கைக் கடிந்துகொண்டான். And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.

26 அதற்கு அபிமெலேக்கு: இந்தக்காரியத்தைச் செய்தவன் இன்னான் என்று எனக்குத் தெரியாது, நீயும் எனக்கு அறிவிக்கவில்லை; இன்று நான் அதைக் கேட்டதேயன்றி, இதற்குமுன் அதை நான் கேள்விப்பட்டதே இல்லை என்றான். And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing; neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

27 அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் ஆடுமாடுகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து அபிமெலேக்குக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; அவர்கள் இருவரும் உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணிக்கொண்டார்கள். And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.

28 ஆபிரகாம் ஏழு பெண்ணாட்டுக்குட்டிகளைத் தனியே நிறுத்தினான். And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.

29 அப்பொழுது அபிமெலேக்கு ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: நீ தனியே தனியே நிறுத்தின இந்த ஏழு பெண்ணாட்டுக்குட்டிகள் என்னத்திற்கு என்று கேட்டான். And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?

30 அதற்கு அவன்: நான் இந்தத் துரவு தோண்டினதைக்குறித்து, நீர் சாட்சியாக இந்த ஏழு பெண்ணாட்டுக்குட்டிகளை என் கையில் வாங்கிக்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றான். And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.

31 அவர்கள் இருவரும் அவ்விடத்தில் ஆணையிட்டுக்கொண்டபடியால், அந்த இடம் பெயர்செபா என்னப்பட்டது. Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them.

32 அவர்கள் பெயர்செபாவிலே உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணிக்கொண்டபின் அபிமெலேக்கும், அவன் சேனாதிபதியாகிய பிகோலும் எழுந்து பெலிஸ்தருடைய தேசத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போனார்கள். Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

33 ஆபிரகாம் பெயர்செபாவிலே ஒரு தோப்பை உண்டாக்கி, சதாகாலமுமுள்ள தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தை அவ்விடத்தில் தொழுதுகொண்டான். And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.

34 ஆபிரகாம் பெலிஸ்தருடைய தேசத்தில் அநேக நாள் தங்கியிருந்தான். And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.

1 Karththar thaam solliyirunthapati saaraalpaeril kadaatchamaanaar; Karththar thaam uraiththapatiyae saaraalukkuch seytharulinaar. And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

2 Abraham muthirvayathaayirukkaiyil, saaraal karppavathiyaaki, Dhevan kuriththiruntha kaalaththilae avanukku oru kumaaranaip pettaாl. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

3 Appoluthu Abraham thanakkuch saaraal petta kumaaranukku eesaakku entu paerittan. And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

4 Than kumaaranaakiya eesaakku pirantha ettam naalilae, Abraham thanakkuth Dhevan kattalaiyittirunthapati avanukku viruththa sethanampannnninaan. And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

5 Than kumaaranaakiya eesaakku piranthapothu Abraham nooraு vayathaayirunthaan. And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

6 Appoluthu saaraal: Dhevan ennai nakaikkap pannnninaar; ithaik kaetkira yaavarum ennotaekooda nakaippaarkal. And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

7 Saaraal pillaikalukkup paal koduppaal entu aapirakaamukku evan solluvaan? Avarutaiya muthirvayathilae avarukku oru kumaaranaip pettenae ental. And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

8 Pillai valarnthu, paal maranthathu; eesaakku paal maranthanaalilae Abraham periya virunthupannnninaan. And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

9 Pinpu ekipthu thaesaththaalaakiya aakaar aapirakaamukkup petta kumaaran pariyaasampannnukirathaich saaraal kanndu, And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

10 Aapirakaamai Nnokki: intha atimaip pennnnaiyum aval makanaiyum purampae thallum; intha atimaip pennnnin makan en kumaaranaakiya eesaakkotae suthantharavaaliyaayiruppathillai entan. Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

11 Than makanaikkuriththuch sollappatta inthak kaariyam aapirakaamukku mikavum thukkamaayirunthathu. And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.

12 Appoluthu Dhevan aapirakaamai Nnokki: anthap pillaiyaiyum, un atimaippennnnaiyum kuriththuch sollappattathu unakkuth thukkamaayirukka vaenndaam; eesaakkinidaththil un santhathi vilangum; aathalaal saaraal unakkuch solvathellaavattaைyum kael. And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

13 Atimaippennnnin makanum un viththaayirukkirapatiyaal, avanaiyum oru jaathiyaakkuvaen entar. And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

14 Abraham athikaalaiyil elunthu, appaththaiyum oru thuruththi thannnneeraiyum eduththu, aakaarutaiya tholinmael vaiththup pillaiyaiyum oppukkoduththu, avalai anuppivittan; aval purappattuppoy, peyarsepaavin vanaantharaththilae alainthu thirinthaal. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

15 Thuruththiyiliruntha thannnneer selavalinthapinpu, aval pillaiyai oru setiyingeelae vittu, And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

16 Pillai saakirathai naan paarkkamaattaேn entu, ethiraaka ampu paayum thooraththilae poy utkaarnthu saththamittu aluthaal. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

17 Dhevan pillaiyin saththaththaik kaettar; thaevathoothan vaanaththilirunthu aakaaraik kooppittu aakaarae, unakku enna sampaviththathu, payappadaathae, pillaiyirukkum idaththilae Dhevan avan saththaththaik kaettar. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

18 Nee elunthu pillaiyai eduththu avanai un kaiyinaal pitiththukkonndupo, avanaip periya jaathiyaakkuvaen entar. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

19 Dhevan avalutaiya kannkalaith thiranthaar; appoluthu aval oru thannnneerth thuravaik kanndu, poy, thuruththiyilae thannnneer nirappi, pillaikkuk kutikkak koduththaal. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

20 Dhevan pillaiyudanae irunthaar; avan valarnthu vanaantharaththilae kutiyirunthu, vilviththaiyilae vallavanaanaan. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

21 Avan paaraan vanaantharaththilae kutiyirukkaiyil, avanutaiya thaay ekipthu thaesaththaalaakiya oru pennnnai avanukku vivaakampannnuviththaal. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

22 Akkaalaththil apimelaekkum avan senaathipathiyaakiya pikolum aapirakaamai Nnokki: nee seykira kaariyangal ellaavattilum Dhevan unnudanae irukkiraar. And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:

23 Aakaiyaal, nee enakkaavathu, en kumaaranukkaavathu, en paeranukkaavathu vanjanai seyyaamal, naan unakkuch seytha thayavinpatiyae, nee enakkum, nee thangiyirukkira inthath thaesaththirkum, thayavu seyvaen entu ingae Dhevan paeril enakku aannaiyittukkodu entan. Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

24 Atharku Abraham: naan aannaiyittukkodukkiraேn entan. And Abraham said, I will swear.

25 Aanaalum, apimelaekkutaiya vaelaikkaarar kaivasappaduththikkonnda thuravin nimiththam Abraham apimelaekkaik katinthukonndaan. And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.

26 Atharku apimelaekku: inthakkaariyaththaich seythavan innaan entu enakkuth theriyaathu, neeyum enakku arivikkavillai; intu naan athaik kaettathaeyanti, itharkumun athai naan kaelvippattathae illai entan. And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing; neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

27 Appoluthu Abraham aadumaadukalaik konnduvanthu apimelaekkukkuk koduththaan; avarkal iruvarum udanpatikkai pannnnikkonndaarkal. And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.

28 Abraham aelu pennnnaattukkuttikalaith thaniyae niraுththinaan. And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.

29 Appoluthu apimelaekku aapirakaamai Nnokki: nee thaniyae thaniyae niraுththina intha aelu pennnnaattukkuttikal ennaththirku entu kaettan. And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?

30 Atharku avan: naan inthath thuravu thonntinathaikkuriththu, neer saatchiyaaka intha aelu pennnnaattukkuttikalai en kaiyil vaangikkolla vaenndum entan. And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.

31 Avarkal iruvarum avvidaththil aannaiyittukkonndapatiyaal, antha idam peyarsepaa ennappattathu. Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them.

32 Avarkal peyarsepaavilae udanpatikkai pannnnikkonndapin apimelaekkum, avan senaathipathiyaakiya pikolum elunthu pelistharutaiya thaesaththirkuth thirumpipponaarkal. Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

33 Abraham peyarsepaavilae oru thoppai unndaakki, sathaakaalamumulla thaevanaakiya karththarutaiya naamaththai avvidaththil tholuthukonndaan. And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.

34 Abraham pelistharutaiya thaesaththil anaeka naal thangiyirunthaan. And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.
