Exodus 22:16
“જો કોઈ વ્યક્તિ અપરણીત કુમાંરિકાને લલચાવીને તેની સાથે મેળાપ કરે, તો તેણે તેનું કન્યામૂલ્ય ચૂકવીને તેની સાથે લગ્ન કરે.

| betrothed, | אֹרָ֖שָׂה | ʾōrāśâ | oh-RA-sa |
| lie and | וְשָׁכַ֣ב | wĕšākab | veh-sha-HAHV |
| with | עִמָּ֑הּ | ʿimmāh | ee-MA |
| her, he shall surely | מָהֹ֛ר | māhōr | ma-HORE |
| endow | יִמְהָרֶ֥נָּה | yimhārennâ | yeem-ha-REH-na |
| her to be his wife. | לּ֖וֹ | lô | loh |
| לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ | lĕʾiššâ | leh-ee-SHA |
