Genesis 42:22
રૂબેને તેઓને કહ્યું, “શું મેં તમને નહોતું કહ્યું કે, એ છોકરા પર અત્યાચાર કરીને પાપમાં પડશો નહિ? છતાં તમે માંન્યું નહિ; તેથી હવે તેના રકતનો બદલો ચૂકવવો પડે છે.”

| saying, | אֲלֵיכֶ֧ם׀ | ʾălêkem | uh-lay-HEM |
| Do not | לֵאמֹ֛ר | lēʾmōr | lay-MORE |
| sin | אַל | ʾal | al |
| child; the against | תֶּֽחֶטְא֥וּ | teḥeṭʾû | teh-het-OO |
| and ye would not | בַיֶּ֖לֶד | bayyeled | va-YEH-led |
| hear? | וְלֹ֣א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| behold, therefore, | שְׁמַעְתֶּ֑ם | šĕmaʿtem | sheh-ma-TEM |
