“પરંતુ તમે મારું સાંભળ્યું નહિ, તમે તમારે માગેર્ આગળ વધ્યા અને તમારી મૂર્તિઓ વડે મને ક્રોધિત કર્યો છે. તેથી તમારા પર આવી પડેલી સર્વ વિપત્તિને માટે તમે પોતે જ જવાબદાર છો.”

hearkened	שְׁמַעְתֶּ֥ם	šāmaʿ	sha-MA
unto	אֵלַ֖י	ʾēl	ale
me, saith	נְאֻם	nĕʾum	neh-OOM
the Lord;	יְהוָ֑ה	yĕhōwâ	yeh-hoh-VA
that	לְמַ֧עַן	maʿan	ma-AN
ye might provoke me to anger	הַכְעִסוֵ֛נִי	kaʿas	ka-AS
with the works	בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה	maʿăśe	ma-uh-SEH
of your hands	יְדֵיכֶ֖ם	yād	yahd
to your own hurt.	לְרַ֥ע	raʿ	ra
	לָכֶֽם׃
