Jeremiah 9:12
મેં પૂછયું, “યહોવા, કોણ એવો શાણો છે જે આ સર્વ સમજી શકે? તે સમજાવનાર યહોવાનો સંદેશાવાહક ક્યાં છે? વળી આ દેશ શા માટે અરણ્ય જેવો થઇ ગયો છે કે તેમાં થઇને મુસાફરી કરવાની કોઇ હિંમત કરતું નથી?

| that he may declare | אֵלָ֖יו | ʾēlāyw | ay-LAV |
| for it, | וְיַגִּדָ֑הּ | wĕyaggidāh | veh-ya-ɡee-DA |
| what | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the land | מָה֙ | māh | ma |
| perisheth | אָבְדָ֣ה | ʾobdâ | ove-DA |
| up burned is and | הָאָ֔רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| like a wilderness, | נִצְּתָ֥ה | niṣṣĕtâ | nee-tseh-TA |
| that none | כַמִּדְבָּ֖ר | kammidbār | ha-meed-BAHR |
| passeth through? | מִבְּלִ֖י | mibbĕlî | mee-beh-LEE |
| עֹבֵֽר׃ | ʿōbēr | oh-VARE |
