Ruth 2:7
આજે સવારે એણે મને પૂછયું કે; “હું લણનારાઓની સાથે તેમની પાછળ પાછળ ચાસમાં કણસલાં વીણું? આમ, એ છેક પરોઢથી આવી છે અને અત્યાર સુધી વિસામો લીધા વગર ઉભા પગે કામ કરતી રહી છે. ફકત થોડી વાર કેટલીક ઘડી છાયડામાં આરામ કર્યો છે.”

| I pray | אֲלַקֳטָה | ʾălaqŏṭâ | uh-la-koh-TA |
| glean me let you, | נָּא֙ | nāʾ | na |
| gather and | וְאָֽסַפְתִּ֣י | wĕʾāsaptî | veh-ah-sahf-TEE |
| after | בָֽעֳמָרִ֔ים | bāʿŏmārîm | va-oh-ma-REEM |
| the reapers | אַֽחֲרֵ֖י | ʾaḥărê | ah-huh-RAY |
| among the sheaves: | הַקּֽוֹצְרִ֑ים | haqqôṣĕrîm | ha-koh-tseh-REEM |
| came, she so | וַתָּב֣וֹא | wattābôʾ | va-ta-VOH |
| and hath continued | וַֽתַּעֲמ֗וֹד | wattaʿămôd | va-ta-uh-MODE |
| even | מֵאָ֤ז | mēʾāz | may-AZ |
| from the morning | הַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ | habbōqer | ha-BOH-KER |
| until | וְעַד | wĕʿad | veh-AD |
| now, | עַ֔תָּה | ʿattâ | AH-ta |
| that | זֶ֛ה | ze | zeh |
| she tarried | שִׁבְתָּ֥הּ | šibtāh | sheev-TA |
| a little | הַבַּ֖יִת | habbayit | ha-BA-yeet |
| in the house. | מְעָֽט׃ | mĕʿāṭ | meh-AT |
