Zechariah 7:14
અને મેં તેમને વંટોળિયાની જેમ અજ્ઞાત પ્રજાઓમાં વેરવિખેર કરી નાખ્યાં. તેમના પાપે તેઓ જે ભૂમિ છોડીને ગયા હતા તે ઉજ્જડ થઇ ગઇ, ત્યાં કોઇની અવરજવર ન રહી. એ રમણીય પ્રદેશ વેરાન થઇ ગયો.”

| Thus the land | וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ | wĕhāʾāreṣ | veh-ha-AH-RETS |
| desolate was | נָשַׁ֣מָּה | nāšammâ | na-SHA-ma |
| after | אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם | ʾaḥărêhem | ah-huh-ray-HEM |
| them, that no man passed through | מֵֽעֹבֵ֖ר | mēʿōbēr | may-oh-VARE |
| returned: nor | וּמִשָּׁ֑ב | ûmiššāb | oo-mee-SHAHV |
| for they laid | וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ | wayyāśîmû | va-ya-SEE-moo |
| the pleasant | אֶֽרֶץ | ʾereṣ | EH-rets |
| land | חֶמְדָּ֖ה | ḥemdâ | hem-DA |
| desolate. | לְשַׁמָּֽה׃ | lĕšammâ | leh-sha-MA |
