ஏசாயா 50
4 இளைப்படைந்தவனுக்கு சமயத்திற்கேற்ற வார்த்தை சொல்ல நான் அறியும்படிக்கு, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் எனக்குக் கல்விமானின் நாவைத் தந்தருளினார்; காலைதோறும் என்னை எழுப்புகிறார்; கற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களைப்போல, நான் கேட்கும்படி என் செவியைக் கவனிக்கச்செய்கிறார்.
5 கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் என்செவியைத் திறந்தார்; நான் எதிர்க்கவுமில்லை, நான் பின்வாங்கவுமில்லை.
6 அடிக்கிறவர்களுக்கு என் முதுகையும், தாடைமயிரைப் பிடுங்குகிறவர்களுக்கு என் தாடைகளையும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்; அவமானத்துக்கும் உமிழ்நீருக்கும் என் முகத்தை மறைக்கவில்லை.
7 கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் எனக்குத் துணைசெய்கிறார்; ஆகையால் நான் வெட்கப்படேன்; நான் வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போவதில்லையென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; ஆதலால் என் முகத்தைக் கற்பாறையைப்போலாக்கினேன்.
8 என்னை நீதிமானாக்குகிறவர் சமீபமாயிருக்கிறார்; என்னோடே வழக்காடுகிறவன் யார்? ஏகமாய் நிற்போமாக, யார் எனக்கு எதிராளி? அவன் என்னிடத்தில் வரட்டும்.
9 இதோ, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் எனக்குத் துணைசெய்கிறார்; என்னை ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கிறவன் யார்? இதோ, அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் ஒரு வஸ்திரத்தைப்போலப் பழசாவார்கள்; பொட்டுப்பூச்சி அவர்களை அரிக்கும்.
10 உங்களில் எவன் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, அவருடைய தாசனின் சொல்லைக் கேட்டு தனக்கு வெளிச்சமில்லாததினால் இருட்டிலே நடக்கிறானோ, அவன் கர்த்தருடய நாமத்தை நம்பி, தன் தேவனைச் சார்ந்துகொள்ளக்கடவன்.
4 The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
5 The Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
7 For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
8 He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
9 Behold, the Lord God will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
10 Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.

8 இப்பொழுதும் சுகசெல்வியே, விசாரமில்லாமல் வாழ்கிறவளே; நான்தான் என்னைத்தவிர ஒருவருமில்லை; நான் விதவையாவதில்லை, நான் சந்தான சேதத்தை அறிவதில்லையென்று உன் இருதயத்திலே சொல்லுகிறவளே, நான் சொல்லுகிறதைக் கேள்.
Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
9 சந்தான சேதமும் விதவையிருப்பும் ஆகிய இவ்விரண்டும் உனக்குச் சடிதியாக ஒரேநாளில் வரும்; உன் திரளான சூனியங்களினிமித்தமும், உன் வெகுவான ஸ்தம்பன வித்தைகளினிமித்தமும் அவைகள் பூரணமாய் உன்மேல் வரும்.
But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
10 உன் துன்மார்க்கத்திலே நீ திடநம்பிக்கையாயிருந்து: என்னைப் பார்க்கிறவர் ஒருவரும் இல்லையென்றாய். உன் ஞானமும் உன் அறிவுமே உன்னைக் கெடுத்தது; நான்தான், என்னைத்தவிர ஒருவருமில்லையென்று உன் இருதயத்தில் எண்ணினாய்.
For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.
11 ஆகையால் தீங்கு உன்மேல் வரும், அது எங்கேயிருந்து உதித்ததென்று நீ அறியாய்; விக்கினம் உன்மேல் வரும், நீ அதை நிவிர்த்தியாக்கமாட்டாய்; நீ அறியாதபடிக்குச் சடிதியாய் உண்டாகும் பாழ்க்கடிப்பு உன்மேல் வரும்.
Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
12 நீ உன் சிறுவயதுமுதல் பிரயாசப்பட்டுப் பழகிவருகிற உன் ஸ்தம்பன வித்தைகளையும், உன் திரளான சூனியங்களையும் நீ அநுசரித்து நில்; அவைகளால் உனக்குப் பிரயோஜனம் உண்டோ, பலன் உண்டோ, பார்ப்போம்.
Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
13 உன் திரளான யோசனைகளினால் நீ இளைத்துப்போனாய்; இப்பொழுதும் ஜோசியரும், நட்சத்திரம் பார்க்கிறவர்களும், அமாவாசி கணிக்கிறவர்களும் எழும்பி, உனக்கு நேரிடுகிறவைகளுக்கு உன்னை விலக்கி இரட்சிக்கட்டும்.
Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
14 இதோ, அவர்கள் தாளடியைப்போல இருப்பார்கள், நெருப்பு அவர்களைச் சுட்டெரிக்கும்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிராணனை அக்கினிஜுவாலையினின்று விடுவிப்பதில்லை; அது குளிர்காயத்தக்க தழலுமல்ல; எதிரே உட்காரத்தக்க அடுப்புமல்ல.
Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.
15 உன் சிறுவயதுமுதல் நீ பிரயாசப்பட்டு எவர்களுடன் வியாபாரம்பண்ணினாயோ, அவர்களும் அப்படியே இருப்பார்கள், அவரவர் தங்கள் போக்கிலே போய் அலைவார்கள்; உன்னை இரட்சிப்பார் இல்லை.
Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
