הַדָּבָר֙ The word dābār אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ʾăšer הָיָ֣ה came hāyâ אֶֽל to ʾēl יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ Jeremiah yirmĕyâ אֶ֚ל concerning ʾēl כָּל all kōl הַיְּהוּדִ֔ים the Jews yĕhûdî הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים which dwell yāšab בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt, miṣrayim הַיֹּשְׁבִ֤ים which dwell yāšab בְּמִגְדֹּל֙ at Migdol, migdôl וּבְתַחְפַּנְחֵ֣ס and at Tahpanhes, taḥpanḥēs וּבְנֹ֔ף and at Noph, nōp וּבְאֶ֥רֶץ and in the country ʾereṣ פַּתְר֖וֹס of Pathros, patrôs לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying, ʾāmar

כֹּה Thus kō אָמַ֞ר saith ʾāmar יְהוָ֤ה the Lord yĕhōwâ צְבָאוֹת֙ of hosts, ṣābāʾ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ʾĕlōhîm יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel; yiśrāʾēl אַתֶּ֣ם Ye ʾattâ רְאִיתֶ֗ם have seen rāʾâ אֵ֤ת ʾēt כָּל all kōl הָֽרָעָה֙ the evil raʿ אֲשֶׁ֤ר that ʾăšer הֵבֵ֙אתִי֙ I have brought bôʾ עַל upon ʿal יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם Jerusalem, yĕrûšālaim וְעַ֖ל and upon ʿal כָּל all kōl עָרֵ֣י the cities ʿîr יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah; yĕhûdâ וְהִנָּ֤ם and, behold, hēn חָרְבָּה֙ they a desolation, ḥorbâ הַיּ֣וֹם day yôm הַזֶּ֔ה this ze וְאֵ֥ין and no ʾayin בָּהֶ֖ם יוֹשֵֽׁב׃ man dwelleth therein, yāšab

מִפְּנֵ֣י Because pānîm רָעָתָ֗ם of their wickedness raʿ אֲשֶׁ֤ר which ʾăšer עָשׂוּ֙ they have committed ʿāśâ לְהַכְעִסֵ֔נִי to provoke me to anger, kaʿas לָלֶ֣כֶת in that they went hālak לְקַטֵּ֔ר to burn incense, qāṭar לַעֲבֹ֖ד to serve ʿābad לֵאלֹהִ֣ים gods, ʾĕlōhîm אֲחֵרִ֑ים other ʾaḥēr אֲשֶׁר֙ whom ʾăšer לֹ֣א not, lōʾ יְדָע֔וּם they knew yādaʿ הֵ֖מָּה they, hēm אַתֶּ֥ם ye, ʾattâ וַאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ nor your fathers. ʾāb

וָאֶשְׁלַ֤ח Howbeit I sent šālaḥ אֲלֵיכֶם֙ unto ʾēl אֶת you ʾēt כָּל all kōl עֲבָדַ֣י my servants ʿebed הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים the prophets, nābîʾ הַשְׁכֵּ֥ים rising early šākam וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ and sending šālaḥ לֵאמֹ֑ר saying, ʾāmar אַל not ʾal נָ֣א Oh, nāʾ תַעֲשׂ֗וּ do ʿāśâ אֵ֛ת ʾēt דְּבַֽר thing dābār הַתֹּעֵבָ֥ה abominable tôʿēba הַזֹּ֖את this zōt אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ʾăšer שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃ I hate. śānēʾ

וְלֹ֤א not, lōʾ שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ But they hearkened šāmaʿ וְלֹא nor lōʾ הִטּ֣וּ inclined nāṭâ אֶת ʾēt אָזְנָ֔ם their ear ʾōzen לָשׁ֖וּב to turn šûb מֵרָֽעָתָ֑ם from their wickedness, raʿ לְבִלְתִּ֥י no biltî קַטֵּ֖ר to burn qāṭar לֵאלֹהִ֥ים gods. ʾĕlōhîm אֲחֵרִֽים׃ incense unto other ʾaḥēr

וַתִּתַּ֤ךְ was poured forth, nātak חֲמָתִי֙ Wherefore my fury ḥēmâ וְאַפִּ֔י and mine anger ʾap וַתִּבְעַר֙ and was kindled bāʿar בְּעָרֵ֣י in the cities ʿîr יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yĕhûdâ וּבְחֻצ֖וֹת and in the streets ḥûṣ יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם of Jerusalem; yĕrûšālaim וַתִּהְיֶ֛ינָה and they are hāyâ לְחָרְבָּ֥ה wasted ḥorbâ לִשְׁמָמָ֖ה desolate, šĕmāmâ כַּיּ֥וֹם day. yôm הַזֶּֽה׃ as at this ze

וְעַתָּ֡ה Therefore now ʿattâ כֹּֽה thus kō אָמַ֣ר saith ʾāmar יְהוָה֩ the Lord, yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֵ֨י the God ʾĕlōhîm צְבָא֜וֹת of hosts, ṣābāʾ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ʾĕlōhîm יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel; yiśrāʾēl לָמָה֩ Wherefore mâ אַתֶּ֨ם ye ʾattâ עֹשִׂ֜ים commit ʿāśâ רָעָ֤ה evil raʿ גְדוֹלָה֙ great gādôl אֶל against ʾēl נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵכֶ֔ם your souls, nepeš לְהַכְרִ֨ית to cut off kārat לָכֶ֧ם אִישׁ from you man ʾîš וְאִשָּׁ֛ה and woman, ʾiššâ עוֹלֵ֥ל child ʿôlēl וְיוֹנֵ֖ק and suckling, yānaq מִתּ֣וֹךְ out tāwek יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah, yĕhûdâ לְבִלְתִּ֛י you none biltî הוֹתִ֥יר to leave yātar לָכֶ֖ם שְׁאֵרִֽית׃ to remain; šĕʾērît

לְהַכְעִסֵ֙נִי֙ In that ye provoke me unto wrath kaʿas בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣י with the works maʿăśe יְדֵיכֶ֔ם of your hands, yād לְקַטֵּ֞ר burning incense qāṭar לֵאלֹהִ֤ים gods ʾĕlōhîm אֲחֵרִים֙ unto other ʾaḥēr בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt, miṣrayim אֲשֶׁר whither ʾăšer אַתֶּ֥ם ye ʾattâ בָּאִ֖ים be gone bôʾ לָג֣וּר to dwell, gûr שָׁ֑ם šām לְמַ֙עַן֙ that maʿan הַכְרִ֣ית ye might cut yourselves off, kārat לָכֶ֔ם וּלְמַ֤עַן and that maʿan הֱיֽוֹתְכֶם֙ ye might be hāyâ לִקְלָלָ֣ה a curse qĕlālâ וּלְחֶרְפָּ֔ה and a reproach ḥerpâ בְּכֹ֖ל among all kōl גּוֹיֵ֥י the nations gôy הָאָֽרֶץ׃ of the earth? ʾereṣ

הַֽשְׁכַחְתֶּם֩ Have ye forgotten šākaḥ אֶת ʾēt רָע֨וֹת the wickedness raʿ אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֜ם of your fathers, ʾāb וְאֶת ʾēt רָע֣וֹת׀ and the wickedness raʿ מַלְכֵ֣י of the kings melek יְהוּדָ֗ה of Judah, yĕhûdâ וְאֵת֙ ʾēt רָע֣וֹת and the wickedness raʿ נָשָׁ֔יו of their wives, ʾiššâ וְאֵת֙ ʾēt רָעֹ֣תֵכֶ֔ם and your own wickedness, raʿ וְאֵ֖ת ʾēt רָעֹ֣ת and the wickedness raʿ נְשֵׁיכֶ֑ם of your wives, ʾiššâ אֲשֶׁ֤ר which ʾăšer עָשׂוּ֙ they have committed ʿāśâ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah, yĕhûdâ וּבְחֻצ֖וֹת and in the streets ḥûṣ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ of Jerusalem? yĕrûšālaim

לֹ֣א They are not lōʾ דֻכְּא֔וּ humbled dākāʾ עַ֖ד unto ʿad הַיּ֣וֹם day, yôm הַזֶּ֑ה this ze וְלֹ֣א neither lōʾ יָרְא֗וּ have they feared, yārēʾ וְלֹֽא nor lōʾ הָלְכ֤וּ walked hālak בְתֽוֹרָתִי֙ in my law, tôrâ וּבְחֻקֹּתַ֔י nor in my statutes, ḥuqqâ אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer נָתַ֥תִּי I set nātan לִפְנֵיכֶ֖ם before pānîm וְלִפְנֵ֥י you and before pānîm אֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ your fathers. ʾāb

לָכֵ֗ן Therefore kēn כֹּֽה thus kō אָמַ֞ר saith ʾāmar יְהוָ֤ה the Lord yĕhōwâ צְבָאוֹת֙ of hosts, ṣābāʾ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ʾĕlōhîm יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel; yiśrāʾēl הִנְנִ֨י Behold, hēn שָׂ֥ם I will set śûm פָּנַ֛י my face pānîm בָּכֶ֖ם לְרָעָ֑ה against you for evil, raʿ וּלְהַכְרִ֖ית and to cut off kārat אֶת ʾēt כָּל all kōl יְהוּדָֽה׃ Judah. yĕhûdâ

וְלָקַחְתִּ֞י And I will take lāqaḥ אֶת ʾēt שְׁאֵרִ֣ית the remnant šĕʾērît יְהוּדָ֗ה of Judah, yĕhûdâ אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer שָׂ֨מוּ have set śûm פְנֵיהֶ֜ם their faces pānîm לָב֣וֹא to go into bôʾ אֶֽרֶץ the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַיִם֮ of Egypt miṣrayim לָג֣וּר to sojourn gûr שָׁם֒ there, šām וְתַ֨מּוּ be consumed, tāmam כֹ֜ל and they shall all kōl בְּאֶ֧רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַ֣יִם of Egypt; miṣrayim יִפֹּ֗לוּ fall nāpal בַּחֶ֤רֶב by the sword ḥereb בָּֽרָעָב֙ by the famine: rāʿāb יִתַּ֔מּוּ they shall be consumed tāmam מִקָּטֹן֙ from the least qāṭān וְעַד even unto ʿad גָּד֔וֹל the greatest, gādôl בַּחֶ֥רֶב by the sword ḥereb וּבָרָעָ֖ב and by the famine: rāʿāb יָמֻ֑תוּ they shall die, mût וְהָיוּ֙ and they shall be hāyâ לְאָלָ֣ה an execration, ʾālâ לְשַׁמָּ֔ה an astonishment, šammâ וְלִקְלָלָ֖ה and a curse, qĕlālâ וּלְחֶרְפָּֽה׃ and a reproach. ḥerpâ

וּפָקַדְתִּ֗י For I will punish pāqad עַ֤ל ʿal הַיּֽוֹשְׁבִים֙ them that dwell yāšab בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt, miṣrayim כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ʾăšer פָּקַ֖דְתִּי I have punished pāqad עַל ʿal יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם Jerusalem, yĕrûšālaim בַּחֶ֖רֶב by the sword, ḥereb בָּרָעָ֖ב by the famine, rāʿāb וּבַדָּֽבֶר׃ and by the pestilence: deber

וְלֹ֨א So that none lōʾ יִהְיֶ֜ה shall hāyâ פָּלִ֤יט escape pālîṭ וְשָׂרִיד֙ or remain, śārîd לִשְׁאֵרִ֣ית of the remnant šĕʾērît יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah, yĕhûdâ הַבָּאִ֥ים which are gone bôʾ לָגֽוּר to sojourn gûr שָׁ֖ם there, šām בְּאֶ֣רֶץ into the land ʾereṣ מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt miṣrayim וְלָשׁ֣וּב׀ that they should return šûb אֶ֣רֶץ into the land ʾereṣ יְהוּדָ֗ה of Judah, yĕhûdâ אֲשֶׁר to the which ʾăšer הֵ֜מָּה they hēm מְנַשְּׂאִ֤ים have nāśāʾ אֶת ʾēt נַפְשָׁם֙ a desire nepeš לָשׁוּב֙ to return šûb לָשֶׁ֣בֶת to dwell yāšab שָׁ֔ם there: šām כִּ֥י for kî לֹֽא none lōʾ יָשׁ֖וּבוּ shall return šûb כִּ֥י but kî אִם ʾim פְּלֵטִֽים׃ such as shall escape. pālîṭ

וַיַּעֲנ֣וּ answered ʿānâ אֶֽת ʾēt יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ Jeremiah, yirmĕyâ כָּל Then all kōl הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים the men ʾîš הַיֹּֽדְעִים֙ which knew yādaʿ כִּֽי that kî מְקַטְּר֤וֹת had burned incense qāṭar נְשֵׁיהֶם֙ their wives ʾiššâ לֵאלֹהִ֣ים gods, ʾĕlōhîm אֲחֵרִ֔ים unto other ʾaḥēr וְכָל and all kōl הַנָּשִׁ֥ים the women ʾiššâ הָעֹמְד֖וֹת that stood by, ʿāmad קָהָ֣ל multitude, qāhāl גָּד֑וֹל a great gādôl וְכָל even all kōl הָעָ֛ם the people ʿam הַיֹּשְׁבִ֥ים that dwelt yāšab בְּאֶֽרֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַ֖יִם of Egypt, miṣrayim בְּפַתְר֥וֹס in Pathros, patrôs לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying, ʾāmar

הַדָּבָ֛ר the word dābār אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer דִּבַּ֥רְתָּ thou hast spoken dābar אֵלֵ֖ינוּ unto ʾēl בְּשֵׁ֣ם us in the name šēm יְהוָ֑ה of the Lord, yĕhōwâ אֵינֶ֥נּוּ we will not ʾayin שֹׁמְעִ֖ים hearken šāmaʿ אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ unto thee. ʾēl

כִּי֩ But kî עָשֹׂ֨ה we will certainly ʿāśâ נַעֲשֶׂ֜ה do ʿāśâ אֶֽת ʾēt כָּל whatsoever kōl הַדָּבָ֣ר׀ thing dābār אֲשֶׁר ʾăšer יָצָ֣א goeth forth yāṣāʾ מִפִּ֗ינוּ out of our own mouth, pe לְקַטֵּ֞ר to burn incense qāṭar לִמְלֶ֣כֶת unto the queen mĕleket הַשָּׁמַיִם֮ of heaven, šāmayim וְהַסֵּֽיךְ and to pour out nāsak לָ֣הּ נְסָכִים֒ drink offerings nesek כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר unto her, as ʾăšer עָשִׂ֜ינוּ we have done, ʿāśâ אֲנַ֤חְנוּ we, ʾănaḥnû וַאֲבֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙ and our fathers, ʾāb מְלָכֵ֣ינוּ our kings, melek וְשָׂרֵ֔ינוּ and our princes, śar בְּעָרֵ֣י in the cities ʿîr יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah, yĕhûdâ וּבְחֻצ֖וֹת and in the streets ḥûṣ יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם of Jerusalem: yĕrûšālaim וַנִּֽשְׂבַּֽע for had we plenty śābaʿ לֶ֙חֶם֙ of victuals, leḥem וַנִּֽהְיֶ֣ה and were hāyâ טוֹבִ֔ים well, ṭôb וְרָעָ֖ה evil. raʿ לֹ֥א no lōʾ רָאִֽינוּ׃ and saw rāʾâ

וּמִן min אָ֡ז But since ʾāz חָדַ֜לְנוּ we left off ḥādal לְקַטֵּ֨ר to burn incense qāṭar לִמְלֶ֧כֶת to the queen mĕleket הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם of heaven, šāmayim וְהַסֵּֽךְ and to pour out nāsak לָ֥הּ נְסָכִ֖ים drink offerings nesek חָסַ֣רְנוּ unto her, we have wanted ḥāsēr כֹ֑ל all kōl וּבַחֶ֥רֶב by the sword ḥereb וּבָרָעָ֖ב and by the famine. rāʿāb תָּֽמְנוּ׃ and have been consumed tāmam

וְכִֽי And when kî אֲנַ֤חְנוּ we ʾănaḥnû מְקַטְּרִים֙ burned incense qāṭar לִמְלֶ֣כֶת to the queen mĕleket הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם of heaven, šāmayim וּלְהַסֵּ֥ךְ and poured out nāsak לָ֖הּ נְסָכִ֑ים drink offerings nesek הֲמִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֣י unto her, without bilʿădê אֲנָשֵׁ֗ינוּ our men? ʾĕnôš עָשִׂ֨ינוּ unto her, did we make ʿāśâ לָ֤הּ כַּוָּנִים֙ her cakes kawwān לְהַ֣עֲצִבָ֔ה to worship ʿāṣab וְהַסֵּ֥ךְ her, and pour out nāsak לָ֖הּ נְסָכִֽים׃ drink offerings nesek

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר said ʾāmar יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ Then Jeremiah yirmĕyâ אֶל unto ʾēl כָּל all kōl הָעָ֑ם the people, ʿam עַל to ʿal הַגְּבָרִ֤ים the men, geber וְעַל and to ʿal הַנָּשִׁים֙ the women, ʾiššâ וְעַל and to ʿal כָּל all kōl הָעָ֔ם the people ʿam הָעֹנִ֥ים which had given him answer, ʿānâ אֹת֛וֹ ʾēt דָּבָ֖ר dābār לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying, ʾāmar

הֲל֣וֹא did not lōʾ אֶת ʾēt הַקִּטֵּ֗ר ye burned qāṭar אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ʾăšer קִטַּרְתֶּ֜ם The incense qiṭṭēr בְּעָרֵ֤י in the cities ʿîr יְהוּדָה֙ of Judah, yĕhûdâ וּבְחֻצ֣וֹת and in the streets ḥûṣ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם of Jerusalem, yĕrûšālaim אַתֶּ֧ם ye, ʾattâ וַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֛ם and your fathers, ʾāb מַלְכֵיכֶ֥ם your kings, melek וְשָׂרֵיכֶ֖ם and your princes, śar וְעַ֣ם and the people ʿam הָאָ֑רֶץ of the land, ʾereṣ אֹתָם֙ ʾēt זָכַ֣ר remember zākar יְהוָ֔ה the Lord yĕhōwâ וַֽתַּעֲלֶ֖ה them, and came ʿālâ עַל it into ʿal לִבּֽוֹ׃ his mind? lēb

וְלֹֽא no lōʾ יוּכַל֩ could yākōl יְהוָ֨ה So that the Lord yĕhōwâ ע֜וֹד longer ʿôd לָשֵׂ֗את bear, nāśāʾ מִפְּנֵי֙ because pānîm רֹ֣עַ of the evil rōaʿ מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֔ם of your doings, maʿălāl מִפְּנֵ֥י because pānîm הַתּוֹעֵבֹ֖ת of the abominations tôʿēba אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ʾăšer עֲשִׂיתֶ֑ם ye have committed; ʿāśâ וַתְּהִ֣י therefore is hāyâ אַ֠רְצְכֶם your land ʾereṣ לְחָרְבָּ֨ה a desolation, ḥorbâ וּלְשַׁמָּ֧ה and an astonishment, šammâ וְלִקְלָלָ֛ה and a curse, qĕlālâ מֵאֵ֥ין without ʾayin יוֹשֵׁ֖ב an inhabitant, yāšab כְּהַיּ֥וֹם day. yôm הַזֶּֽה׃ as at this ze

מִפְּנֵי֩ Because pānîm אֲשֶׁ֨ר ʾăšer קִטַּרְתֶּ֜ם ye have burned incense, qāṭar וַאֲשֶׁ֧ר and because ʾăšer חֲטָאתֶ֣ם ye have sinned ḥāṭāʾ לַיהוָ֗ה against the Lord, yĕhōwâ וְלֹ֤א and have not lōʾ שְׁמַעְתֶּם֙ obeyed šāmaʿ בְּק֣וֹל the voice qôl יְהוָ֔ה of the Lord, yĕhōwâ וּבְתֹרָת֧וֹ in his law, tôrâ וּבְחֻקֹּתָ֛יו nor in his statutes, ḥuqqâ וּבְעֵדְוֺתָ֖יו nor in his testimonies; ʿēdût לֹ֣א nor lōʾ הֲלַכְתֶּ֑ם walked hālak עַל therefore ʿal כֵּ֞ן kēn קָרָ֥את is happened unto qārāʾ אֶתְכֶ֛ם ʾēt הָרָעָ֥ה evil raʿ הַזֹּ֖את this zōt כַּיּ֥וֹם day. yôm הַזֶּֽה׃ you, as at this ze

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said ʾāmar יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ Moreover Jeremiah yirmĕyâ אֶל unto ʾēl כָּל all kōl הָעָ֔ם the people, ʿam וְאֶ֖ל and to ʾēl כָּל all kōl הַנָּשִׁ֑ים the women, ʾiššâ שִׁמְעוּ֙ Hear šāmaʿ דְּבַר the word dābār יְהוָ֔ה of the Lord, yĕhōwâ כָּל all kōl יְהוּדָ֕ה Judah yĕhûdâ אֲשֶׁ֖ר that ʾăšer בְּאֶ֥רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt: miṣrayim

כֹּֽה Thus kō אָמַ֣ר saith ʾāmar יְהוָֽה the Lord yĕhōwâ צְבָאוֹת֩ of hosts, ṣābāʾ אֱלֹהֵ֨י the God ʾĕlōhîm יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל of Israel, yiśrāʾēl לֵאמֹ֗ר saying; ʾāmar אַתֶּ֨ם Ye ʾattâ וּנְשֵׁיכֶ֜ם and your wives ʾiššâ וַתְּדַבֵּ֣רְנָה have both spoken dābar בְּפִיכֶם֮ with your mouths, pe וּבִידֵיכֶ֣ם with your hand, yād מִלֵּאתֶ֣ם׀ and fulfilled mālēʾ לֵאמֹר֒ saying, ʾāmar עָשֹׂ֨ה We will surely ʿāśâ נַעֲשֶׂ֜ה perform ʿāśâ אֶת ʾēt נְדָרֵ֗ינוּ our vows neder אֲשֶׁ֤ר that ʾăšer נָדַ֙רְנוּ֙ we have vowed, nādar לְקַטֵּר֙ to burn incense qāṭar לִמְלֶ֣כֶת to the queen mĕleket הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם of heaven, šāmayim וּלְהַסֵּ֥ךְ and to pour out nāsak לָ֖הּ נְסָכִ֑ים drink offerings nesek הָקֵ֤ים unto her: ye will surely qûm תָּקִ֙ימְנָה֙ accomplish qûm אֶת ʾēt נִדְרֵיכֶ֔ם your vows, neder וְעָשֹׂ֥ה and surely ʿāśâ תַעֲשֶׂ֖ינָה perform ʿāśâ אֶת ʾēt נִדְרֵיכֶֽם׃ your vows. neder

לָכֵן֙ Therefore kēn שִׁמְע֣וּ hear šāmaʿ דְבַר ye the word dābār יְהוָ֔ה of the Lord, yĕhōwâ כָּל all kōl יְהוּדָ֕ה Judah yĕhûdâ הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים that dwell yāšab בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt; miṣrayim הִנְנִ֨י Behold, hēn נִשְׁבַּ֜עְתִּי I have sworn šābaʿ בִּשְׁמִ֤י name, šēm הַגָּדוֹל֙ by my great gādôl אָמַ֣ר saith ʾāmar יְהוָ֔ה the Lord, yĕhōwâ אִם shall no ʾim יִהְיֶה֩ be hāyâ ע֨וֹד more ʿôd שְׁמִ֜י that my name šēm נִקְרָ֣א׀ named qārāʾ בְּפִ֣י׀ in the mouth pe כָּל of any kōl אִ֣ישׁ man ʾîš יְהוּדָ֗ה of Judah yĕhûdâ אֹמֵ֛ר saying, ʾāmar חַי liveth. ḥay אֲדֹנָ֥י The Lord ʾădōnāy יְהוִ֖ה God yĕhōwi בְּכָל in all kōl אֶ֥רֶץ the land ʾereṣ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt, miṣrayim

הִנְנִ֨י Behold, hēn שֹׁקֵ֧ד I will watch šāqad עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם over ʿal לְרָעָ֖ה them for evil, raʿ וְלֹ֣א and not lōʾ לְטוֹבָ֑ה for good: ṭôb וְתַמּוּ֩ shall be consumed tāmam כָל and all kōl אִ֨ישׁ the men ʾîš יְהוּדָ֜ה of Judah yĕhûdâ אֲשֶׁ֧ר that ʾăšer בְּאֶֽרֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַ֛יִם of Egypt miṣrayim בַּחֶ֥רֶב by the sword ḥereb וּבָרָעָ֖ב and by the famine, rāʿāb עַד until ʿad כְּלוֹתָֽם׃ there be an end of them. kālâ

וּפְלִיטֵ֨י that escape pālîṭ חֶ֜רֶב the sword ḥereb יְשֻׁב֨וּן shall return out šûb מִן of min אֶ֧רֶץ the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַ֛יִם of Egypt miṣrayim אֶ֥רֶץ into the land ʾereṣ יְהוּדָ֖ה of Judah, yĕhûdâ מְתֵ֣י Yet a small mat מִסְפָּ֑ר number mispār וְֽיָדְע֞וּ shall know yādaʿ כָּל and all kōl שְׁאֵרִ֣ית the remnant šĕʾērît יְהוּדָ֗ה of Judah, yĕhûdâ הַבָּאִ֤ים that are gone bôʾ לְאֶֽרֶץ into the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ of Egypt miṣrayim לָג֣וּר to sojourn gûr שָׁ֔ם there, šām דְּבַר words dābār מִ֥י whose mî יָק֖וּם shall stand, qûm מִמֶּ֥נִּי mine, or theirs. min וּמֵהֶֽם׃ hēm

וְזֹאת And this zōt לָכֶ֤ם הָאוֹת֙ a sign ʾôt נְאֻם unto you, saith nĕʾum יְהוָ֔ה the Lord, yĕhōwâ כִּֽי that kî פֹקֵ֥ד will punish pāqad אֲנִ֛י I ʾănî עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם ʿal בַּמָּק֣וֹם place, māqôm הַזֶּ֑ה you in this ze לְמַ֙עַן֙ that maʿan תֵּֽדְע֔וּ ye may know yādaʿ כִּי֩ that kî ק֨וֹם shall surely qûm יָק֧וּמוּ stand qûm דְבָרַ֛י my words dābār עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם against ʿal לְרָעָֽה׃ you for evil: raʿ

כֹּ֣ה׀ Thus kō אָמַ֣ר saith ʾāmar יְהוָ֗ה the Lord; yĕhōwâ הִנְנִ֣י Behold, hēn נֹ֠תֵן I will give nātan אֶת ʾēt פַּרְעֹ֨ה חָפְרַ֤ע Pharaoh-hophra parʿō ḥopraʿ מֶֽלֶךְ king melek מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ of Egypt miṣrayim בְּיַ֣ד into the hand yād אֹֽיְבָ֔יו of his enemies, ʾōyēb וּבְיַ֖ד and into the hand yād מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י of them that seek bāqaš נַפְשׁ֑וֹ his life; nepeš כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר as ʾăšer נָתַ֜תִּי I gave nātan אֶת ʾēt צִדְקִיָּ֣הוּ Zedekiah ṣidqiyyâ מֶֽלֶךְ king melek יְהוּדָ֗ה of Judah yĕhûdâ בְּיַ֨ד into the hand yād נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֧ר of Nebuchadrezzar nĕbûkadneʾṣṣar מֶֽלֶךְ king melek בָּבֶ֛ל of Babylon, bābel אֹיְב֖וֹ his enemy, ʾōyēb וּמְבַקֵּ֥שׁ and that sought bāqaš נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ his life. nepeš
