He keepeth back	יַחְשֹׂ֣ךְ	ḥāśak	ha-SAHK
his soul	נַ֭פְשׁוֹ	nepeš	neh-FESH
from	מִנִּי	min	meen
the pit,	שָׁ֑חַת	šaḥat	sha-HAHT
and his life	וְ֝חַיָּת֗וֹ	ḥay	hai
from perishing	מֵעֲבֹ֥ר	ʿābar	ah-VAHR
by the sword.	בַּשָּֽׁלַח׃	šelaḥ	sheh-LAHK
