அதற்கு யோசுவா: நீங்கள் ஜனம்பெருத்தவர்களாயும், எப்பிராயீம் மலைகள் உங்களுக்கு நெருக்கமாயுமிருந்தால், பெரிசியர் ரெப்பாயீமியர் குடியிருக்கிற காட்டுத் தேசத்துக்குப் போய் உங்களுக்கு இடம் உண்டாக்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றான்.

அதற்கு யோசுவா: நீங்கள் எண்ணிக்கையில் பெருகினவர்களாகவும், எப்பிராயீம் மலைகள் உங்களுக்கு நெருக்கமாகவும் இருந்தால், பெரிசியர்கள் ரெப்பாயீமியர்கள் குடியிருக்கிற மலைதேசத்திற்குப் போய் உங்களுக்கு இடம் உண்டாக்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றான்.

யோசுவா, “நீங்கள் எண்ணிக்கையில் அதிக அளவு இருந்தீர்களேயானால் மலை நாட்டுக்குச் சென்று, அந்நிலத்தை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அந்நிலம் இப்போது பெரிசியருக்கும், ரெப்பாயீமீயருக்கும் உரியதாக உள்ளது. எப்பிராயீமின் மலை நாடு உங்களுக்கு அளவில் மிகவும் சிறியதாக இருந்தால் மட்டுமே அந்நிலத்தை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்றான்.
