நியாயாதிபதிகள் 18:2
ஆகையால் தேசத்தை உளவுபார்த்து வரும்படி, தாண் புத்திரர் தங்கள் கோத்திரத்திலே பலத்த மனுஷராகிய ஐந்து பேரைத் தங்கள் எல்லைகளில் இருக்கிற சோராவிலும் எஸ்தாவோலிலுமிருந்து அனுப்பி: நீங்கள் போய், தேசத்தை ஆராய்ந்துபார்த்து வாருங்கள் என்று அவர்களோடே சொன்னார்கள்; அவர்கள் எப்பிராயீம் மலைத்தேசத்தில் இருக்கிற மீகாவின் வீடுமட்டும் போய், அங்கே இராத்தங்கினார்கள்.

இவர்கள் கலகமுள்ள மக்களும், பொய்பேசுகிற பிள்ளைகளும், கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தைக் கேட்க மனதில்லாத மக்களாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.
