ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಲು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದ ಅರಸನ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಅರ್ಯೋಕನಿಗೆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದಲೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು;

ಆದದರಿಂದ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ಅರಸನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಅರ್ಯೋಕನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡ ಬೇಡ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸು ತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
