Exodus 17:6
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಹೋರೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು ನೀನು ಬಂಡೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯ ಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಜನರು ಕುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ನೀರು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುವದು ಅಂದನು. ಮೋಶೆಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

| and thou shalt smite | וְהִכִּ֣יתָ | wĕhikkîtā | veh-hee-KEE-ta |
| the rock, | בַצּ֗וּר | baṣṣûr | VA-tsoor |
| come shall there and | וְיָֽצְא֥וּ | wĕyāṣĕʾû | veh-ya-tseh-OO |
| water | מִמֶּ֛נּוּ | mimmennû | mee-MEH-noo |
| out of | מַ֖יִם | mayim | MA-yeem |
| people the that it, | וְשָׁתָ֣ה | wĕšātâ | veh-sha-TA |
| may drink. | הָעָ֑ם | hāʿām | ha-AM |
