ಆಮೋಸ 5:8
ಏಳು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮೃಗಶಿರವನ್ನೂ ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿ ಮರಣದ ನೆರಳನ್ನು ಉದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಿಸಿ, ಹಗಲನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕತ್ತಲು ಮಾಡಿ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿಸುವ ಕರ್ತನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳಾತನನ್ನೇ ಹುಡು ಕಿರಿ.

| day the maketh and | וְי֖וֹם | wĕyôm | veh-YOME |
| dark | לַ֣יְלָה | laylâ | LA-la |
| night: with | הֶחְשִׁ֑יךְ | heḥšîk | hek-SHEEK |
| that calleth | הַקּוֹרֵ֣א | haqqôrēʾ | ha-koh-RAY |
| waters the for | לְמֵֽי | lĕmê | leh-MAY |
| of the sea, | הַיָּ֗ם | hayyām | ha-YAHM |
