ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കോപം അവരുടെമേൽ വന്നു; അവരുടെ അതിപുഷ്ടന്മാരിൽ ചിലരെ കൊന്നു യിസ്രായേലിലെ യൌവനക്കാരെ സംഹരിച്ചു.

upon them, and slew	וַֽ֭יַּהֲרֹג	hārag	ha-RAHɡ
the fattest	בְּמִשְׁמַנֵּיהֶ֑ם	mašmān	mahsh-MAHN
the chosen	וּבַחוּרֵ֖י	bāḥûr	ba-HOOR
of Israel.	יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
of them, and smote down	הִכְרִֽיעַ׃	kāraʿ	ka-RA
