என் சகோதரரில் ஒருவனாகிய ஆனானியும், வேறே சில மனுஷரும் யூதாவிலிருந்து வந்தார்கள்; அவர்களிடத்தில் நான் சிறையிருப்பில் மீந்து தப்பின யூதரின் செய்தியையும், எருசலேமின் செய்தியையும் விசாரித்தேன்.

אֲשֶֽׁר, מִן

And they said	וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֮	wayyōʾmĕrû	va-yoh-meh-ROO
unto me, The remnant	לִי֒	liy	lee
that	הַֽנִּשְׁאָרִ֞ים	hannišʾārîm	ha-neesh-ah-REEM
are left	אֲשֶֽׁר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
of	נִשְׁאֲר֤וּ	nišʾărû	neesh-uh-ROO
the captivity	מִן	min	meen
there	הַשְּׁבִי֙	haššĕbiy	ha-sheh-VEE
in the province	שָׁ֣ם	šām	shahm
are in great	בַּמְּדִינָ֔ה	bammĕdînâ	ba-meh-dee-NA
affliction	בְּרָעָ֥ה	bĕrāʿâ	beh-ra-AH
and reproach:	גְדֹלָ֖ה	gĕdōlâ	ɡeh-doh-LA
the wall	וּבְחֶרְפָּ֑ה	ûbĕḥerpâ	oo-veh-her-PA
of Jerusalem	וְחוֹמַ֤ת	wĕḥômat	veh-hoh-MAHT
also is broken down,	יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙	yĕrûšālaim	yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM
and the gates	מְפֹרָ֔צֶת	mĕpōrāṣet	meh-foh-RA-tset
thereof are burned	וּשְׁעָרֶ֖יהָ	ûšĕʿārêhā	oo-sheh-ah-RAY-ha
with fire.	נִצְּת֥וּ	niṣṣĕtû	nee-tseh-TOO
	בָאֵֽשׁ׃	bāʾēš	va-AYSH
