பரிசுத்தஸ்தலத்தின் பணிமுட்டுகளும், ஊழியஞ்செய்கிற ஆசாரியரும் வாசல் காவலாளரும், பாடகரும் இருக்கிற அந்த அறைகளிலே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரும் லேவிபுத்திரரும் தானியம் திராட்சரசம் எண்ணெய் என்பவைகளின் படைப்புகளைக் கொண்டுவரவேண்டியது; இவ்விதமாய் நாங்கள் எங்கள் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைப் பராமரியாமல் விடுவதில்லையென்று திட்டம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டோம்.

இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களும் லேவியர்களும் அவர்களின் அன்பளிப்புகளைச் சேமிப்பு அறைகளுக்குக் கொண்டுவரவேண்டும். அவர்கள் தமது தானியம், புதிய திராட்சைரசம் எண்ணெய் ஆகிய அன்பளிப்புகளைக் கொண்டுவருவார்கள். ஆலயத்திற்குரிய அனைத்துப் பொருட்களும் அச்சேமிப்பு அறைகளில் வைக்கப்படும். அங்கே பணியிலுள்ள ஆசாரியர்கள் தங்குவார்கள், பாடகர்களும், வாசல் காவலாளர்களும் அங்கே தங்குவார்கள். “எங்கள் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பொறுப்பை நாங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வோம் என்று நாங்கள் அனைவரும் வாக்குக்கொடுக்கிறோம்” என்றனர்.

ஏனெனில், அக்கருவூல அறைகளில்தான் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களும், லேவியரும் கொடையாகக் கொடுத்த தானியம், திராட்சை இரசம், எண்ணெய் முதலியவற்றைச் சேர்த்து வைத்தனர். அங்கேதான் கோவில் திருப்பணிக்குரிய பாத்திரங்களும் இருந்தன. குருக்களும், பாடகர்களும், வாயிற்காவலரும், திருப்பணியாளர்களும் அங்கு இருந்து வந்தனர். ‘எங்கள் கடவுளின் கோவிலைப் புறக்கணிக்க மாட்டோம்’ என்று வாக்குறுதி அளித்தனர்.
