Amos 2:9
तर मैले एमोरीहरुलाई तिनीहरुको अगाडी ध्वंश गरिदिएँ। मैले त्यसको फलहरु माथिदेखि र त्यसका जरा तलै सम्म ध्वंश गरिदिंए।

| of the cedars, | גָּבְה֔וֹ | gobhô | ɡove-HOH |
| he and | וְחָסֹ֥ן | wĕḥāsōn | veh-ha-SONE |
| was strong | ה֖וּא | hûʾ | hoo |
| oaks; the as | כָּֽאַלּוֹנִ֑ים | kāʾallônîm | ka-ah-loh-NEEM |
| yet I destroyed | וָאַשְׁמִ֤יד | wāʾašmîd | va-ash-MEED |
| fruit his | פִּרְיוֹ֙ | piryô | peer-YOH |
| from above, | מִמַּ֔עַל | mimmaʿal | mee-MA-al |
| and his roots | וְשָׁרָשָׁ֖יו | wĕšārāšāyw | veh-sha-ra-SHAV |
