Genesis 7:18
ପୃଥିବୀ ରେ କ୍ରମାନ୍ବଯ ରେ ଜଳରାଶି ବଢ଼ିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା ଓ ସେଥି ରେ ଜାହାଜ ଭାସିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲା।

| prevailed, | הַמַּ֛יִם | hammayim | ha-MA-yeem |
| increased were and | וַיִּרְבּ֥וּ | wayyirbû | va-yeer-BOO |
| greatly | מְאֹ֖ד | mĕʾōd | meh-ODE |
| upon | עַל | ʿal | al |
| earth; the | הָאָ֑רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| and the ark | וַתֵּ֥לֶךְ | wattēlek | va-TAY-lek |
| went | הַתֵּבָ֖ה | hattēbâ | ha-tay-VA |
| upon | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the face | פְּנֵ֥י | pĕnê | peh-NAY |
| of the waters. | הַמָּֽיִם׃ | hammāyim | ha-MA-yeem |
