הוֹשִׁ֣יעָה Help, yāšaʿ יְ֭הוָה Lord; yĕhōwâ כִּי for kî גָמַ֣ר ceaseth; gāmar חָסִ֑יד the godly man ḥāsîd כִּי for kî פַ֥סּוּ fail pāsas אֱ֝מוּנִ֗ים the faithful ʾāman מִבְּנֵ֥י from among the children bēn אָדָֽם׃ of men. ʾādām

שָׁ֤וְא׀ vanity šow יְֽדַבְּרוּ֮ They speak dābar אִ֤ישׁ every one ʾîš אֶת with ʾēt רֵ֫עֵ֥הוּ his neighbour: rēaʿ שְׂפַ֥ת lips śāpâ חֲלָק֑וֹת flattering ḥelqâ בְּלֵ֖ב with a double lēb וָלֵ֣ב heart lēb יְדַבֵּֽרוּ׃ do they speak. dābar

יַכְרֵ֣ת shall cut off kārat יְ֭הוָה The Lord yĕhōwâ כָּל all kōl שִׂפְתֵ֣י lips, śāpâ חֲלָק֑וֹת flattering ḥelqâ לָ֝שׁ֗וֹן the tongue lāšôn מְדַבֶּ֥רֶת that speaketh dābar גְּדֹלֽוֹת׃ proud things: gādôl

אֲשֶׁ֤ר Who ʾăšer אָֽמְר֨וּ׀ have said, ʾāmar לִלְשֹׁנֵ֣נוּ With our tongue lāšôn נַ֭גְבִּיר will we prevail; gābar שְׂפָתֵ֣ינוּ our lips śāpâ אִתָּ֑נוּ ʾēt מִ֖י our own: who mî אָד֣וֹן lord over us? ʾādôn לָֽנוּ׃

מִשֹּׁ֥ד For the oppression šōd עֲנִיִּים֮ of the poor, ʿānî מֵאֶנְקַ֪ת for the sighing ʾănāqâ אֶבְי֫וֹנִ֥ים of the needy, ʾebyôn עַתָּ֣ה now ʿattâ אָ֭קוּם will I arise, qûm יֹאמַ֣ר saith ʾāmar יְהוָ֑ה the Lord; yĕhōwâ אָשִׁ֥ית I will set šît בְּ֝יֵ֗שַׁע in safety yešaʿ יָפִ֥יחַֽ puffeth at him. pûaḥ לֽוֹ׃

אִֽמֲר֣וֹת The words ʾimrâ יְהוָה֮ of the Lord yĕhōwâ אֲמָר֪וֹת words: ʾimrâ טְהֹ֫ר֥וֹת pure ṭāhôr כֶּ֣סֶף silver kesep צָ֭רוּף tried ṣārap בַּעֲלִ֣יל in a furnace ʿălîl לָאָ֑רֶץ of earth, ʾereṣ מְ֝זֻקָּ֗ק purified zāqaq שִׁבְעָתָֽיִם׃ seven times. šibʿātayim

אַתָּֽה Thou ʾattâ יְהוָ֥ה them, O Lord, yĕhōwâ תִּשְׁמְרֵ֑ם shalt keep šāmar תִּצְּרֶ֓נּוּ׀ thou shalt preserve nāṣar מִן them from min הַדּ֖וֹר generation dôr ז֣וּ this zû לְעוֹלָֽם׃ for ever. ʿôlām
