חִצֶּ֗יךָ Thine arrows ḥēṣ שְׁנ֫וּנִ֥ים sharp šānan עַ֭מִּים the people ʿam תַּחְתֶּ֣יךָ under thee. taḥat יִפְּל֑וּ fall nāpal בְּ֝לֵ֗ב in the heart lēb אוֹיְבֵ֥י enemies; ʾōyēb הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ of the king's melek

כִּסְאֲךָ֣ Thy throne, kissēʾ אֱ֭לֹהִים O God, ʾĕlōhîm עוֹלָ֣ם for ever ʿôlām וָעֶ֑ד and ever: ʿad שֵׁ֥בֶט the sceptre šēbeṭ מִ֝ישֹׁ֗ר a right mîšôr שֵׁ֣בֶט sceptre. šēbeṭ מַלְכוּתֶֽךָ׃ of thy kingdom malkût

אָהַ֣בְתָּ Thou lovest ʾāhab צֶּדֶק֮ righteousness, ṣedeq וַתִּשְׂנָ֫א and hatest śānēʾ רֶ֥שַׁע wickedness: rešaʿ עַל therefore ʿal כֵּ֤ן׀ kēn מְשָׁחֲךָ֡ hath anointed māšaḥ אֱלֹהִ֣ים God, ʾĕlōhîm אֱ֭לֹהֶיךָ thy God, ʾĕlōhîm שֶׁ֥מֶן thee with the oil šemen שָׂשׂ֗וֹן of gladness śāśôn מֵֽחֲבֵרֶֽךָ׃ above thy fellows. ḥābēr

בְּנ֣וֹת daughters bat מְ֭לָכִים Kings' melek בְּיִקְּרוֹתֶ֑יךָ among thy honourable women: yāqār נִצְּבָ֥ה did stand nāṣab שֵׁגַ֥ל the queen šēgāl לִֽ֝ימִינְךָ֗ upon thy right hand yāmîn בְּכֶ֣תֶם in gold ketem אוֹפִֽיר׃ of Ophir. ʾôpîr

וְיִתְאָ֣ו greatly desire ʾāwâ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ So shall the king melek יָפְיֵ֑ךְ thy beauty: yŏpî כִּי for kî ה֥וּא he hûʾ אֲ֝דֹנַ֗יִךְ thy Lord; ʾādôn וְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוִי and worship thou him. šāḥâ לֽוֹ׃

וּבַֽת And the daughter bat צֹ֨ר׀ of Tyre ṣōr בְּ֭מִנְחָה with a gift; minḥâ פָּנַ֥יִךְ thy favour. pānîm יְחַלּ֗וּ shall intreat ḥālâ עֲשִׁ֣ירֵי the rich ʿāšîr עָֽם׃ among the people ʿam

כָּל all kōl כְּבוּדָּ֣ה glorious kĕbûddâ בַת daughter bat מֶ֣לֶךְ The king's melek פְּנִ֑ימָה within: pĕnîmâ מִֽמִּשְׁבְּצ֖וֹת of wrought mišbĕṣâ זָהָ֣ב gold. zāhāb לְבוּשָֽׁהּ׃ her clothing lĕbûš

לִרְקָמוֹת֮ in raiment of needlework: riqmâ תּוּבַ֪ל She shall be brought yābal לַ֫מֶּ֥לֶךְ unto the king melek בְּתוּל֣וֹת the virgins bĕtûlâ אַ֭חֲרֶיהָ that follow ʾaḥar רֵעוֹתֶ֑יהָ her companions rēʿâ מ֖וּבָא֣וֹת her shall be brought unto thee. bôʾ לָֽךְ׃

תּ֭וּבַלְנָה shall they be brought: yābal בִּשְׂמָחֹ֣ת With gladness śimḥâ וָגִ֑יל and rejoicing gîl תְּ֝בֹאֶ֗ינָה they shall enter bôʾ בְּהֵ֣יכַל palace. hêkāl מֶֽלֶךְ׃ into the king's melek

תַּ֣חַת Instead taḥat אֲ֭בֹתֶיךָ of thy fathers ʾāb יִהְי֣וּ shall be hāyâ בָנֶ֑יךָ thy children, bēn תְּשִׁיתֵ֥מוֹ whom thou mayest make šît לְ֝שָׂרִ֗ים princes śar בְּכָל in all kōl הָאָֽרֶץ׃ the earth. ʾereṣ
