אֲמָרַ֖י to my words, ʾēmer הַאֲזִ֥ינָה׀ Give ear ʾāzan יְהוָ֗ה O Lord, yĕhōwâ בִּ֣ינָה consider bîn הֲגִֽיגִי׃ my meditation. hāgîg

הַקְשִׁ֤יבָה׀ Hearken qāšab לְק֬וֹל unto the voice qôl שַׁוְעִ֗י of my cry, šewaʿ מַלְכִּ֥י my King, melek וֵאלֹהָ֑י and my God: ʾĕlōhîm כִּֽי for kî אֵ֝לֶ֗יךָ unto ʾēl אֶתְפַּלָּֽל׃ thee will I pray. pālal

יְֽהוָ֗ה O Lord; yĕhōwâ בֹּ֭קֶר in the morning, bōqer תִּשְׁמַ֣ע shalt thou hear šāmaʿ קוֹלִ֑י My voice qôl בֹּ֥קֶר in the morning bōqer אֶֽעֱרָךְ will I direct ʿārak לְ֝ךָ֗ וַאֲצַפֶּֽה׃ unto thee, and will look up. ṣāpâ

לֹֽא shall not lōʾ יִתְיַצְּב֣וּ stand yāṣab הֽ֭וֹלְלִים The foolish hālal לְנֶ֣גֶד in ṭerem עֵינֶ֑יךָ thy sight: ʿayin שָׂ֝נֵ֗אתָ thou hatest śānēʾ כָּל all kōl פֹּ֥עֲלֵי workers pāʿal אָֽוֶן׃ of iniquity. ʾāwen

תְּאַבֵּד֮ Thou shalt destroy ʾābad דֹּבְרֵ֪י them that speak dābar כָ֫זָ֥ב leasing: kāzāb אִישׁ man. ʾîš דָּמִ֥ים the bloody dām וּמִרְמָ֗ה and deceitful mirmâ יְתָ֘עֵ֥ב׀ will abhor taʿāb יְהוָֽה׃ the Lord yĕhōwâ

וַאֲנִ֗י But as for me, ʾănî בְּרֹ֣ב in the multitude rōb חַ֭סְדְּךָ of thy mercy: ḥēsēd אָב֣וֹא I will come bôʾ בֵיתֶ֑ךָ thy house bayit אֶשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֥ה will I worship šāḥâ אֶל toward ʾēl הֵֽיכַל temple. hêkāl קָ֝דְשְׁךָ֗ thy holy qōdeš בְּיִרְאָתֶֽךָ׃ in thy fear yirʾâ

יְהוָ֤ה׀ me, O Lord, yĕhōwâ נְחֵ֬נִי Lead nāḥâ בְצִדְקָתֶ֗ךָ in thy righteousness ṣĕdāqâ לְמַ֥עַן because of maʿan שׁוֹרְרָ֑י mine enemies; šārar הַוְשַׁ֖ר straight yāšar לְפָנַ֣י before my face. pānîm דַּרְכֶּֽךָ׃ make thy way derek

כִּ֤י For kî אֵ֪ין no ʾayin בְּפִ֡יהוּ in their mouth; pe נְכוֹנָה֮ faithfulness kûn קִרְבָּ֪ם their inward part qereb הַ֫וּ֥וֹת very wickedness; hawwâ קֶֽבֶר sepulchre; qeber פָּת֥וּחַ an open pātaḥ גְּרוֹנָ֑ם their throat gārôn לְ֝שׁוֹנָ֗ם with their tongue. lāšôn יַחֲלִֽיקוּן׃ they flatter ḥālaq

הַֽאֲשִׁימֵ֨ם׀ Destroy ʾāšam אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים thou them, O God; ʾĕlōhîm יִפְּלוּ֮ let them fall nāpal מִֽמֹּעֲצ֪וֹתֵ֫יהֶ֥ם by their own counsels; môʿēṣâ בְּרֹ֣ב in the multitude rōb פִּ֭שְׁעֵיהֶם of their transgressions; pešaʿ הַדִּיחֵ֑מוֹ cast them out nādaḥ כִּי for kî מָ֥רוּ they have rebelled against thee. mārâ בָֽךְ׃

וְיִשְׂמְח֨וּ in thee rejoice: śāmaḥ כָל But let all kōl ח֪וֹסֵי those that put their trust ḥāsâ בָ֡ךְ לְעוֹלָ֣ם let them ever ʿôlām יְ֭רַנֵּנוּ shout for joy, rānan וְתָסֵ֣ךְ because thou defendest sākak עָלֵ֑ימוֹ them: ʿal וְֽיַעְלְצ֥וּ be joyful in thee. ʿālaṣ בְ֝ךָ֗ אֹהֲבֵ֥י let them also that love ʾāhab שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ thy name šēm

כִּֽי For kî אַתָּה֮ thou, ʾattâ תְּבָרֵ֪ךְ wilt bless bārak צַ֫דִּ֥יק the righteous; ṣaddîq יְהוָ֑ה Lord, yĕhōwâ כַּ֝צִּנָּ֗ה him as a shield. ṣinnâ רָצ֥וֹן with favour rāṣôn תַּעְטְרֶֽנּוּ׃ wilt thou compass ʿāṭar
