  1. לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ To the chief Musician nāṣaḥ בִּנְגִינֹ֗ת on Neginoth, nĕgînâ מַשְׂכִּ֥יל Maschil, maśkîl לְדָוִֽד׃ of David, dāwid בְּבֹ֣א came bôʾ הַ֭זִּיפִים when the Ziphims zîpî וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ and said ʾāmar לְשָׁא֑וּל to Saul, šāʾûl הֲלֹ֥א Doth not lōʾ דָ֝וִ֗ד David dāwid מִסְתַּתֵּ֥ר hide himself sātar עִמָּֽנוּ׃ with us? ʿim
  2. אֱ֭לֹהִים me, O God, ʾĕlōhîm בְּשִׁמְךָ֣ by thy name, šēm הוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נִי Save yāšaʿ וּבִגְבוּרָתְךָ֥ me by thy strength. gĕbûrâ תְדִינֵֽנִי׃ and judge dîn
  3. אֱ֭לֹהִים O God; ʾĕlōhîm שְׁמַ֣ע Hear šāmaʿ תְּפִלָּתִ֑י my prayer, tĕpillâ הַ֝אֲזִ֗ינָה give ear ʾāzan לְאִמְרֵי to the words ʾēmer פִֽי׃ of my mouth. pe
  4. כִּ֤י For kî זָרִ֨ים׀ strangers zûr קָ֤מוּ are risen up qûm עָלַ֗י against ʿal וְֽ֭עָרִיצִים me, and oppressors ʿārîṣ בִּקְשׁ֣וּ seek after bāqaš נַפְשִׁ֑י my soul: nepeš לֹ֤א they have not lōʾ שָׂ֨מוּ set śûm אֱלֹהִ֖ים God ʾĕlōhîm לְנֶגְדָּ֣ם before neged סֶֽלָה׃ them. Selah. selâ
  5. הִנֵּ֣ה Behold, hinnē אֱ֭לֹהִים God ʾĕlōhîm עֹזֵ֣ר mine helper: ʿāzar לִ֑י אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י the Lord ʾădōnāy בְּֽסֹמְכֵ֥י with them that uphold sāmak נַפְשִֽׁי׃ my soul. nepeš
  6. יָשִׁ֣וב He shall reward šûb הָ֭רַע evil raʿ לְשֹׁרְרָ֑י unto mine enemies: šārar בַּ֝אֲמִתְּךָ֗ in thy truth. ʾemet הַצְמִיתֵֽם׃ cut them off ṣāmat
  7. בִּנְדָבָ֥ה I will freely nĕdābâ אֶזְבְּחָה sacrifice zābaḥ לָּ֑ךְ א֤וֹדֶה unto thee: I will praise yādâ שִּׁמְךָ֖ thy name, šēm יְהוָ֣ה O Lord; yĕhōwâ כִּי for kî טֽוֹב׃ good. ṭôb
  8. כִּ֣י For kî מִכָּל me out of all kōl צָ֭רָה trouble: ṣārâ הִצִּילָ֑נִי he hath delivered nāṣal וּ֝בְאֹיְבַ֗י upon mine enemies. ʾōyēb רָאֲתָ֥ה hath seen rāʾâ עֵינִֽי׃ and mine eye ʿayin
