ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੜਾ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾੜ ਸੁੱਟੇ।

of the book סֵ֣פֶר sēper say-FER
of the law, הַתּוֹרָ֑ה tôrâ toh-RA
that he rent וַיִּקְרַ֖ע qāraʿ ka-RA
אֶת ʾēt ate
his clothes. בְּגָדָֽיו׃ beged beh-ɡED
