Exodus 16:31
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਖਾਸ ਭੋਜਨ ਨੂੰ “ਮੰਨ” ਆਖਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੰਨ ਧਣੀਏ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਫ਼ੇਦ ਬੀਜਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਨਾਲ ਬਣੇ ਕੇਕ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ।

| and the taste | וְטַעְמ֖וֹ | wĕṭaʿmô | veh-ta-MOH |
| wafers like was it of | כְּצַפִּיחִ֥ת | kĕṣappîḥit | keh-tsa-pee-HEET |
| made with honey. | בִּדְבָֽשׁ׃ | bidbāš | beed-VAHSH |
