Ezra 10:11
ਹੁਣ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰੋ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ।”

| from the people | מֵֽעַמֵּ֣י | mēʿammê | may-ah-MAY |
| land, the of | הָאָ֔רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| and from | וּמִן | ûmin | oo-MEEN |
| the strange | הַנָּשִׁ֖ים | hannāšîm | ha-na-SHEEM |
