ਬੰਦਾ ਲੰਗੋਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਕਸੱਕੇ ਬਂਨ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ। ਓਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕਸ ਕੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਸੀ।” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ। “ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਬਣਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧੀ, ਉਸਤਤ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਬਨਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ।”

the girdle הָאֵז֜וֹר ʾēzôr ay-ZORE
to אֶל ʾēl ale
the loins מָתְנֵי mōten moh-TEN
of a man, אִ֗ישׁ ʾîš eesh
so כֵּ֣ן kēn kane
have I caused to cleave הִדְבַּ֣קְתִּי dābaq da-VAHK
unto אֵ֠לַי ʾēl ale
me אֶת ʾēt ate
the whole כָּל kōl kole
house בֵּ֨ית bayit ba-YEET
of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל yiśrāʾēl yees-ra-ALE
וְאֶת ʾēt ate
and the whole כָּל kōl kole
house בֵּ֤ית bayit ba-YEET
of Judah, יְהוּדָה֙ yĕhûdâ yeh-hoo-DA
saith נְאֻם nĕʾum neh-OOM
the Lord; יְהוָ֔ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
that they might be לִֽהְי֥וֹת hāyâ ha-YA
לִי֙
unto me for a people, לְעָ֔ם ʿam am
and for a name, וּלְשֵׁ֥ם šēm shame
and for a praise, וְלִתְהִלָּ֖ה tĕhillâ teh-hee-LA
and for a glory: וּלְתִפְאָ֑רֶת tipʾārâ teef-ah-RA
but they would not וְלֹ֖א lōʾ loh
hear. שָׁמֵֽעוּ׃ šāmaʿ sha-MA
