Jeremiah 27:8
“‘ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਕੌਮ ਜਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੂਲਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਤੇ ਪਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਭੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।’” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ। “‘ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲੜਦੀ ਹੈ।

Nebuchadnezzar נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֣ר nĕbûkadneʾṣṣar neh-voo-hahd-neh-TSAHR
the king מֶֽלֶךְ melek meh-LEK
of Babylon, בָּבֶ֔ל bābel ba-VEL
וְאֵ֨ת ʾēt ate
and that אֲשֶׁ֤ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
will not לֹֽא lōʾ loh
put יִתֵּן֙ nātan na-TAHN
אֶת ʾēt ate
their neck צַוָּאר֔וֹ ṣawwār tsa-WAHR
under the yoke בְּעֹ֖ל ʿōl ole
of the king מֶ֣לֶךְ melek meh-LEK
of Babylon, בָּבֶ֑ל bābel ba-VEL
with the sword, בַּחֶרֶב֩ ḥereb heh-REV
and with the famine, וּבָרָעָ֨ב rāʿāb ra-AV
and with the pestilence, וּבַדֶּ֜בֶר deber deh-VER
will I punish, אֶפְקֹ֨ד pāqad pa-KAHD
עַל ʿal al
nation הַגּ֤וֹי gôy ɡoy
that הַהוּא֙ hûʾ hoo
saith נְאֻם nĕʾum neh-OOM
the Lord, יְהוָ֔ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
until עַד ʿad ad
I have consumed תֻּמִּ֥י tāmam ta-MAHM
אֹתָ֖ם ʾēt ate
them by his hand. בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ yād yahd
