அப்பொழுது போவாஸ்: நீர் நகோமியின் கையிலே அந்த வயல் நிலத்தை வாங்குகிற நாளிலே மரித்தவனுடைய சுதந்தரத்தில் அவன் பேரை நிலைநிற்கப்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, அதை மரித்தவன் மனைவியாகிய மோவாபிய ஸ்திரீயான ரூத் கையிலும் வாங்கவேண்டியது என்றான்.

தான் சாப்பிட்டதுமல்லாமல், தன்னோடு இருந்தவர்களுக்கும் கொடுத்தானே என்று சொன்னார்.

தாவீது தேவாலயத்திற்குச் சென்றான். தாவீது, தேவனுக்குப் படைக்கப்பட்ட தேவனின் அப்பத்தை எடுத்து, அதைச் சாப்பிட்டான். தன்னோடு இருந்தவர்களுக்கும் சில அப்பத்தைக் கொடுத்தான். இது மோசேயின் சட்டத்திற்கு மாறானது. ஆசாரியர்கள் மட்டுமே அந்த அப்பத்தைப் புசிக்க முடியும் என்று அச்சட்டம் கூறுகின்றது” என்று பதில் சொன்னார்.
