సమూయేలు దహనబలి అర్పించుచుండగా ఫిలిష్తీయులు యుద్ధము చేయుటకై ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మీదికి వచ్చిరి. అయితే యెహోవా ఆ దినమున ఫిలిష్తీయులమీద మెండుగా ఉరుములు ఉరిమించి వారిని తారుమారు చేయగా వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల చేత ఓడిపోయిరి.
