அபிஷேகம் பெற்ற ஆசாரியன், மக்கள் குற்றத்திற்கு உட்படத்தக்கதாகப் பாவம் செய்தால், தான் செய்த பாவத்திற்காக பழுதற்ற ஒரு இளங்காளையை பாவநிவாரணபலியாகக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவரக்கடவன்.

“அபிஷேகம் பெற்ற ஆசாரியன், ஜனங்கள் குற்றத்திற்கு உட்படத்தக்கதாகப் பாவம் செய்தால் அந்த ஆசாரியன் தன் பாவத்துக்காக கர்த்தருக்குச் சில காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்த வேண்டும். அந்த ஆசாரியன் குறையற்ற ஒரு இளங்காளையைப் பாவப் பரிகாரப் பலியாகக் கொண்டு வரவேண்டும்.

பின்பு அவன் அவ்விடம் விட்டுப் பெயர்ந்து, பெத்தேலுக்குக் கிழக்கே இருக்கும் மலைக்குப் போய், பெத்தேல் தனக்கு மேற்காகவும் ஆயீ கிழக்காகவும் இருக்கக் கூடாரம் போட்டு, அங்கே கர்த்தருக்கு ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொண்டான்.

ஆனாலும் பெத்தேலிலும் தாணிலும் வைத்த பொற்கன்றுக்குட்டிகளால், இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை யெகூ விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

தாணிலிருந்து அவர்களுடைய குதிரைகளின் மூச்செறிதல் கேட்கப்படுகிறது; அவர்களுடைய பலத்த அஸ்வங்கள் கனைக்கிற சத்தத்தினால் தேசமெல்லாம் அதிருகிறது; அவர்கள் வந்து தேசத்தையும் அதில் உள்ளவைகளையும், பட்டணத்தையும் அதின் குடிகளையும் பட்சிப்பார்கள்.

இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ சோரம்போனாலும், Judeவாகிலும் அந்தப் பாவத்துக்குள்ளாகாதிருப்பதாக; கில்காலுக்கு வராமலும், பெத்தாவேனுக்குப் போகாமலும் கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனாணை என்று ஆணையிடாமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக.

தாணே! உன் தேவனுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டும், பெயெர்செபா மார்க்கத்தின் தேவனுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டும் என்று சொல்லி, சமாரியாவின் தோஷத்தின்மேல் ஆணையிடுகிறவர்கள் விழுவார்கள்; இனி ஒருபோதும் எழுந்திருக்கமாட்டார்கள் என்றார்.
