அப்சலோம் தாவீதின் சேவகருக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்டான்; அப்சலோம் கோவேறு கழுதையின்மேல் ஏறிவரும்போது, அந்தக் கோவேறு கழுதை சன்னல் பின்னலான ஒரு பெரிய கர்வாலிமரத்தின் கீழவந்ததினால், அவனுடைய தலை கர்வாலிமரத்தில் மாட்டிக்கொண்டு, அவன் வானத்துக்கும் பூமிக்கும் நடுவே தொங்கினான்; அவன் ஏறியிருந்த கோவேறு கழுதை அப்பாலே போயிற்று.
