இதினிமித்தம் தேசம் அதிரவும், அதின் குடிகள் எல்லாம் துக்கிக்கவும், எங்கும் நதிகளாய்ப் புரண்டோடவும், எகிப்தின் ஆற்றுவெள்ளத்தைப்போல் அடித்து, பெருவெள்ளமாகவும் வேண்டாமோ?

நமக்காக ஒரு குழந்தை பிறந்தது; நமக்கு ஒரு மகன் கொடுக்கப்பட்டார்; கர்த்தத்துவம் அவர் தோளின்மேலிருக்கும்; அவர் பெயர் அதிசயமானவர், ஆலோசனைக்கர்த்தா, வல்லமையுள்ள தேவன், நித்திய பிதா, சமாதானப்பிரபு என்னப்படும்.

விசேஷித்த மகன் பிறக்கும்போது இவைகளெல்லாம் நடைபெறும். தேவன் நமக்கு ஒரு மகனைக் கொடுப்பார். இவரே ஜனங்களை வழிநடத்திச் செல்லும் பொறுப்புள்ளவராக இருப்பார். அவரது நாமமானது “ஆலோசகர், வல்லமை மிக்க தேவன், நித்திய பிதா, அதிசயமுள்ளவர், சமாதானத்தின் இளவரசர்” என்று இருக்கும்.
