கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினிமித்தம் என்னோடேகூடக் காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற எப்பாப்பிராவும்,

ஆகவே, நம்முடைய கர்த்தரைப்பற்றிய சாட்சியைக்குறித்தாவது, அவர்நிமித்தம் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிற என்னைக்குறித்தாவது, நீ வெட்கப்படாமல், தேவ வல்லமைக்குரியபடி நற்செய்திக்காக என்னோடுகூடத் தீங்கு அனுபவி.

எனவே கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவைப் பற்றி மக்களிடம் எடுத்துச் சொல்ல வெட்கப்பட வேண்டாம். என்னைக் குறித்தும், நான் கர்த்தருக்காகச் சிறையில் இருப்பது குறித்தும் வெட்கப்பட வேண்டாம். ஆனால் நற்செய்திக்காக என்னோடு துன்பத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அதற்கான பலத்தை தேவன் தருகிறார்.
