ஆமோஸ் 8
1 பின்பு கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் எனக்குக் காண்பித்ததாவது: இதோ, பழுத்த பழங்களுள்ள ஒரு கூடை இருந்தது.
2 அவர்: ஆமோசே, நீ என்னத்தைக் காண்கிறாய் என்று கேட்டார்? பழுத்த பழங்களுள்ள ஒரு கூடையைக் காண்கிறேன் என்றேன். அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முடிவுகாலம் வந்தது; இனி அவர்களை மன்னிக்கமாட்டேன்.
3 அந்நாளிலே தேவாலயப்பாட்டுகள் அலறுதலாக மாறும்; எல்லா இடத்திலும் திரளான பிரேதங்கள் புலம்பலில்லாமல் எறிந்துவிடப்படும் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
1 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit.
2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the Lord unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.
3 And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord God: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.
