சாதோக்கின் சந்ததியானாகிய அசரியா என்னும் பிரதான ஆசாரியன் அவனை நோக்கி: இந்தக் காணிக்கையைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவரத் தொடங்கினதுமுதல் நாங்கள் சாப்பிட்டுத் திர்ப்தியடைந்தோம்; இன்னும் மிச்சமும் இருக்கிறது; கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜனத்தை ஆசீர்வதித்ததினால் இந்தத் திரட்சியான அம்பாரம் மீந்திருக்கிறது என்றான்.

சாதோக்கின் குடும்பத்தை சேர்ந்த தலைமை ஆசாரியனாகிய அசரியா என்பவன் எசேக்கியா அரசனிடம், “ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குக் காணிக்கை பொருட்களைக் கொண்டுவரத் தொடங்கிய நாள் முதல் எங்களுக்கு உணவு ஏராளமாய் உள்ளது. நாங்கள் எவ்வளவுதான் அதிகமாக தின்றாலும் ஏராளமாக மிகுதியாக உள்ளது. கர்த்தர் உண்மையாகவே தம் ஜனங்களை ஆசீர்வதித்துள்ளார். அதனால் தான் இவ்வளவு மீதியாக உள்ளது.” என்று பதில் சொன்னான்.

சாதோக்கு வழிவந்த தலைமைக் குரு அசரியா அவரை நோக்கி, “ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்திற்குப் படையல்களை, மக்கள் கொண்டுவரத் தொடங்கியது முதல் நாங்கள் நிறைவாக உண்டு வந்துள்ளோம். ஆயினும், எஞ்சியது மிகுதியாகவே உள்ளது. ஏனெனில், ஆண்டவர் தம் மக்களுக்கு ஆசி வழங்கியுள்ளார், எஞ்சியுள்ளவை இக்குவியல்கள்” என்று கூறினார்.⒫

Saathokkin santhathiyaanaakiya asariyaa ennum pirathaana aasaariyan avanai Nnokki: inthak kaannikkaiyaik karththarutaiya aalayaththirkuk konnduvarath thodanginathumuthal naangal saappittuth thirpthiyatainthom; innum michchamum irukkirathu; Karththar thammutaiya janaththai aaseervathiththathinaal inthath thiratchiyaana ampaaram meenthirukkirathu entan.
