அவன் புத்திமானாயிருப்பானோ, மூடனாயிருப்பானோ, அதை யார் அறிவார்? ஆகிலும் சூரியனுக்குக்கீழே நான் பிரயாசப்பட்டு ஞானமாய்ச் சம்பாதித்த சகல வஸ்துக்களின்பேரிலும் அவன் அதிகாரியாவான்; இதுவும் மாயையே.

a wise הֶֽחָכָ֤ם ḥākām ha-HAHM
whether he shall be יִהְיֶה֙ hāyâ ha-YA
or א֣וֹ ʾô oh
a fool? סָכָ֔ל sākāl sa-HAHL
yet shall he have rule וְיִשְׁלַט֙ šālaṭ sha-LAHT
over all בְּכָל kōl kole
my labour עֲמָלִ֔י ʿāmāl ah-MAHL
wherein I have laboured, שֶֽׁעָמַ֥לְתִּי ʿāmal ah-MAHL
and wherein I have shewed myself wise וְשֶׁחָכַ֖מְתִּי ḥākam ha-HAHM
under תַּ֣חַת taḥat ta-HAHT
