Exodus 2 in Tamil

1 லேவியின் குடும்பத்தாரில் ஒருவன் லேவியின் குமாரத்திகளில் ஒருத்தியை விவாகம் பண்ணினான். And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.

2 அந்த ஸ்திரீ கர்ப்பவதியாகி, ஒரு ஆண் பிள்ளையைப் பெற்று, அது அழகுள்ளது என்று கண்டு, அதை மூன்று மாதம் ஒளித்து வைத்தாள். And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.

4 அதற்கு என்ன சம்பவிக்கும் என்பதை அறியும்படி அதன் தமக்கை தூரத்திலே நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தாள். And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

5 அப்பொழுது பார்வோனுடைய குமாரத்தி நதியில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ண வந்தாள். அவளுடைய தாதிகள் நதியோரத்தில் உலாவினார்கள்; அவள் நாணலுக்குள்ளே இருக்கிற பெட்டியைக் கண்டு, தன் தாதியை அனுப்பி அதைக் கொண்டு வரும்படி செய்தாள். And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

6 அதைத் திறந்தபோது பிள்ளையைக் கண்டாள்; பிள்ளை அழுதது; அவள் அதின்மேல் இரக்கமுற்று, இது எபிரெயர் பிள்ளைகளில் ஒன்று என்றாள். And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.

Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?

8 அதற்குப் பார்வோனுடைய குமாரத்தி: அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வா என்றாள். இந்தப்பெண் போய்ப் பிள்ளையின் தாயையே அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வந்தாள். And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.

9 பார்வோனுடைய குமாரத்தி அவளை நோக்கி: நீ இந்தப் பிள்ளையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போய், அதை எனக்கு வளர்த்திடு, நான் உனக்குச் சம்பளம் கொடுக்கிறேன் என்றாள். அந்த ஸ்திரீ பிள்ளையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போய், அதை வளர்த்தாள். And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

13 அவன் மறுநாளிலும் வெளியே போனபோது, எபிரெய மனுஷர் இருவர் சண்டை பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவன் அநியாயம் செய்கிறவனை நோக்கி, நீ உன் தோழனை அடிக்கிறது என்ன என்று கேட்டான். And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?

14 அதற்கு அவன்: எங்கள் மேல் உன்னை அதிகாரியாகவும் நியாயாதிபதியாகவும் ஏற்படுத்தினவன் யார்? நீ எகிப்தியனைக் கொன்று போட்டது போல, என்னையும் கொன்றுபோட நினைக்கிறாயோ என்றான். அப்பொழுது மோசே காரியம் நிச்சயமாக வெளிப்பட்டது என்று பயந்தான். And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

15 பார்வோன் அந்தக் காரியத்தைக் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, மோசேயைக் கொலை செய்ய வகை தேடினான். மோசே பார்வோனிடத்தினின்று தப்பியோடி, மீதியான் தேசத்தில் போய்த் தங்கி, ஒரு துரவண்டையிலே உட்கார்ந்திருந்தான். Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

16 மீதியான் தேசத்து ஆசாரியனுக்கு ஏழு குமாரத்திகள் இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் தகப்பனுடைய ஆடுகளுக்குத் தண்ணீர் காட்டும்படிக்கு அங்கே வந்து, தண்ணீர் மொண்டு, தொட்டிகளை நிரப்பினார்கள். Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

17 அப்பொழுது மேய்ப்பர்கள் வந்து, அவர்களைத் துரத்தினார்கள்; மோசே எழுந்திருந்து, அவர்களுக்குத் துணைநின்று, அவர்களுடைய ஆடுகளுக்குத் தண்ணீர் காட்டினான். And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

18 அவர்கள் தங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ரெகுவேலிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, அவன்: நீங்கள் இன்று இத்தனை சீக்கிரமாய் வந்தது என்ன என்று கேட்டான். And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?

19 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: எகிப்தியன் ஒருவன் மேய்ப்பரின் கைகளுக்கு எங்களைத் தப்புவித்து, எங்களுக்குத் தண்ணீர் மொண்டு கொடுத்து, ஆடுகளுக்கும் தண்ணீர் காட்டினான் என்றார்கள். And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

20 அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் குமாரத்திகளைப் பார்த்து: அவன் எங்கே? அந்த மனிதனை நீங்கள் விட்டு வந்தது என்ன? போஜனம்பண்ணும்படிக்கு அவனை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வாருங்கள் என்றான். And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

21 மோசே அந்த மனிதனிடத்தில் தங்கியிருக்கச் சம்மதித்தான். அவன் சிப்போராள் என்னும் தன் குமாரத்தியை மோசேக்குக் கொடுத்தான். And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

22 அவள் ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள். நான் அந்நிய தேசத்தில் பரதேசியாய் இருக்கிறேன் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு கெர்சோம் என்று பேரிட்டான். And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

23 சிலகாலம் சென்றபின், எகிப்தின் ராஜா மரித்தான். இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அடிமைத்தனத்தினால் தவித்து, முறையிட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து முறையிடும் சத்தம் தேவசந்நிதியில் எட்டினது. And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

24 தேவன் அவர்கள் பெருமூச்சைக் கேட்டு, தாம் ஆபிரகாமோடும் ஈசாக்கோடும் யாக்கோபோடும் செய்த உடன்படிக்கையை நினைவு கூர்ந்தார். And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

25 தேவன் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரைக் கண்ணோக்கினார்; தேவன் அவர்களை நினைத்தருளினார். And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

1 Laeviyin kudumpaththaaril oruvan laeviyin kumaaraththikalil oruththiyai vivaakam pannnninaan. And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.

2 Antha sthiree karppavathiyaaki, oru aann pillaiyaip pettaு, athu alakullathu entu kanndu, athai moontu maatham oliththu vaiththaal. And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.

3 Aval athai appuram oliththu vaikkak koodaamal, oru naanarpettiyai eduththu, atharkup pisinum geelum poosi, athilae pillaiyai valarththi nathiyoramaay naanalukkullae vaiththaal. And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.

4 Atharku enna sampavikkum enpathai ariyumpati athan thamakkai thooraththilae nintukonntirunthaal. And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

5 Appoluthu paarvonutaiya kumaaraththi nathiyil snaanampannna vanthaal. Avalutaiya thaathikal nathiyoraththil ulaavinaarkal; aval naanalukkullae irukkira pettiyaik kanndu, than thaathiyai anuppi athaik konndu varumpati seythaal. And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

6 Athaith thiranthapothu pillaiyaik kanndaal; pillai aluthathu; aval athinmael irakkamuttaு, ithu epireyar pillaikalil ontu ental. And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.

7 Appoluthu athin thamakkai paarvonin kumaaraththiyai Nnokki: umakku inthap pillaiyai valarkkumpati epireya sthireekalil paal kodukkira oruththiyai naan poy ummidaththil alaiththukkonndu varattumaa ental. Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?

8 Atharkup paarvonutaiya kumaaraththi: alaiththukkonndu vaa ental. Inthappenn poyp pillaiyin thaayaiyae alaiththukkonndu vanthaal. And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.

9 Paarvonutaiya kumaaraththi avalai Nnokki: nee inthap pillaiyai eduththukkonndu poy, athai enakku valarththidu, naan unakkuch sampalam kodukkiraேn ental. Antha sthiree pillaiyai eduththukkonndu poy, athai valarththaal. And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

10 Pillai perithaanapothu, aval athaip paarvonutaiya kumaaraththiyinidaththil konndupoy vittal. Avalukku avan kumaaranaanaan. Aval: avanai jalaththinintu eduththaen entu solli, avanukku Moses entu paerittal. And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

11 Moses periyavanaana kaalaththil, avan than sakothararidaththil poy, avarkal sumai sumakkirathaip paarththu, than sakothararaakiya epireyaril oruvanai oru ekipthiyan atikkirathaik kanndu, And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

12 Angum ingum paarththu, oruvarum illaiyentu arinthu, ekipthiyanai vetti, avanai manalilae puthaiththup pottan. And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

13 Avan maraுnaalilum veliyae ponapothu, epireya manushar iruvar sanntai pannnnikkonntirunthaarkal. Appoluthu avan aniyaayam seykiravanai Nnokki, nee un tholanai atikkirathu enna entu kaettan. And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?

14 Atharku avan: engal mael unnai athikaariyaakavum niyaayaathipathiyaakavum aerpaduththinavan yaar? Nee ekipthiyanaik kontu pottathu pola, ennaiyum kontupoda ninaikkiraayo entan. Appoluthu Moses kaariyam nichchayamaaka velippattathu entu payanthaan. And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

15 Paarvon anthak kaariyaththaik kaelvippattapothu, Mosesyaik kolai seyya vakai thaetinaan. Moses paarvonidaththinintu thappiyoti, meethiyaan thaesaththil poyth thangi, oru thuravanntaiyilae utkaarnthirunthaan. Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

16 Meethiyaan thaesaththu aasaariyanukku aelu kumaaraththikal irunthaarkal; avarkal thangal thakappanutaiya aadukalukkuth thannnneer kaattumpatikku angae vanthu, thannnneer monndu, thottikalai nirappinaarkal. Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

17 Appoluthu maeypparkal vanthu, avarkalaith thuraththinaarkal; Moses elunthirunthu, avarkalukkuth thunnainintu, avarkalutaiya aadukalukkuth thannnneer kaattinaan. And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

18 Avarkal thangal thakappanaakiya rekuvaelidaththil vanthapothu, avan: neengal intu iththanai seekkiramaay vanthathu enna entu kaettan. And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?

19 Atharku avarkal: ekipthiyan oruvan maeypparin kaikalukku engalaith thappuviththu, engalukkuth thannnneer monndu koduththu, aadukalukkum thannnneer kaattinaan entarkal. And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

20 Appoluthu avan than kumaaraththikalaip paarththu: avan engae? Antha manithanai neengal vittu vanthathu enna? Pojanampannnumpatikku avanai alaiththukkonndu vaarungal entan. And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

21 Moses antha manithanidaththil thangiyirukkach sammathiththaan. Avan sipporaal ennum than kumaaraththiyai Moseskkuk koduththaan. And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

22 Aval oru kumaaranaip pettaாl. Naan anniya thaesaththil parathaesiyaay irukkiraேn entu solli, avanukku kersom entu paerittan. And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

23 Silakaalam sentapin, ekipthin raajaa mariththaan. Israel puththirar atimaiththanaththinaal thaviththu, muraiyittukkonntirunthaarkal; avarkal atimaiththanaththilirunthu muraiyidum saththam thaevasannithiyil ettinathu. And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

24 Dhevan avarkal perumoochchaைk kaettu, thaam aapirakaamodum eesaakkodum yaakkopodum seytha udanpatikkaiyai ninaivu koornthaar. And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

25 Dhevan Israel puththiraraik kannnnokkinaar; Dhevan avarkalai ninaiththarulinaar. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.
