அந்த மனுஷன், கர்த்தர் மனம்மாறாமல் கவிழ்த்துப்போட்ட பட்டணங்களைப்போலிருந்து, காலமே அலறுதலையும் மத்தியான வேளையிலே கூக்குரலையும் கேட்கக்கடவன்.

கர்த்தர் அழித்துப்போட்ட பட்டணங்களைப் போன்று அந்த மனிதன் ஆவானாக. கர்த்தர் அந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் மீது எவ்வித இரக்கமும் கெள்ளவில்லை. காலையில் அம்மனிதன் போரின் ஒலிகளைக் கேட்கட்டும். மதிய வேளையில் அவன் போர்க்கதறல்களைக் கேட்கட்டும்.

be וְהָיָה֙ hāyâ ha-YA
man הָאִ֣ישׁ ʾîš eesh
And let that הַה֔וּא hûʾ hoo
as the cities כֶּֽעָרִ֛ים ʿîr eer
which אֲשֶׁר ʾăšer uh-SHER
overthrew, הָפַ֥ךְ hāpak ha-FAHK
the Lord יְהוָ֖ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
not: וְלֹ֣א lōʾ loh
and repented נִחָ֑ם nāḥam na-HAHM
and let him hear וְשָׁמַ֤ע šāmaʿ sha-MA
the cry זְעָקָה֙ zaʿaq za-AK
in the morning, בַּבֹּ֔קֶר bōqer boh-KER
and the shouting וּתְרוּעָ֖ה tĕrûʿâ teh-roo-AH
at noontide; בְּעֵ֥ת ʿēt ate
צָהֳרָֽיִם׃ ṣōhar tsoh-HAHR
